Make a Simple Outdoor Baby Chameleon Cage!

Today I go over a way to make a simple outdoor cage for a chameleon baby. This build uses a common screen cage and coroplast to make an effective planter box cage in miniature!

Would putting the coroplast inside the cage instead of outside accomplish the same thing? Any drawbacks to doing so? Thanks Bill!

It would accomplish the same thing as far as humidity. The disadvantage of inside the cage is that there is less frame to attach it to and you have to make sure it is tight enough that feeder insects can get between the coroplast and the screen. Then they get stuck and die and it doesn’t look appetizing. So, it will work. You just have a couple of things to take into consideration.

One is best! Though getting one will depend on you finding a breeder around you and researching to make sure chameleons are really what you want. They are very fascinating, but aren’t necessarily good pets in the way most people think about pets.
