He's lucky that turbo blew out on the exhaust side and not the compressor side... Diesels will run themselves to death on an uncontrolled flow of engine oil. Glad you're doing alright Gordon! Love the vids!
Great video, as always. Perennial strawberries? I didn't think that was possible, but if so, that might get me to make a raised bed (small) and try it. How are the berries? Good? Sweet, tart? All your projects are making good progress. Finish the pond, get the lights in, because I wanna see you sitting in there with an inflatable and a beer. 🍺 😄 Looking forward to the turbo job.
All strawberries are perennial, the ones I bought a couple years ago are called June strawberry because they only have fruit in May for me in my area maybe June farther north. The new ones I showed in the video are called everbearing and have fruit all season.
When I saw that turbo leak, my first thought was I hope it doesn't mess up your nice parking pad. That would be a pain cleaning it up. First look, it may not be too hard to swap the turbo. It will be interesting to see what you'll be up against in the repair.
The concrete is much easier to clean than the truck, I do it all the time. The turbo was a challenge to get it off, seized and rusted studs with rounded corners, had to use a torch.
Thanks for watching Sean. My job is a bit slow for me now but I could ask for more work and they will find it but I'm glad to slow down and get some things done at home.
I've gone threw four n it's in fifth now from 72 threw 98 mm the bigger more consumption and air its flys but I loved the 78 mm ported zeki with 1.32 1.10 1.45 ar started whistling and 1.58 was looking forward to 1.65 ar but with this economy I'm selling it for it 2006 fieghtliner century long block 14 liter new ecm on 2017 and it's fast
My tomatoes didn't do so well this year or my cucumbers and peppers, my cantaloupe did pretty well. Next year I'll till in some of that compost and put more on top and hope I do better.
Lucky nothing caught fire with that oil all over the hot exhaust.
