    Honest mechanic, someone would charge alot of $$$ for this repair

    Good one. Take it to the dealer, get a bill for new turbo and pipes including that rubber. Plus a few for clearing the fault codes.

    Nice video. Thats the first thing to do with turbo charged cars...look for leaks. I have seen people having turbos replaced and even more just because of a vacum hose that wasnt connected properly.
    Your honesty give any person lots of confidence.
    Best regards

    Another great tutorial Neil. I own a 2015 Giulietta QV 1750 turbo petrol and I absolutely love this car. I would love to see more tutorials on this particular model Giulietta. Thinks like servicing, best engine oil to use, air and oil filter, fuel filter, cabin filter etc. I really hope you can include some content on the Giulietta QV as many people including mechanics love to hate Alfas here in Australia, particularly mechanics. Looking forward to more great content. Cheers.🍀🇦🇺

      They hate because they dont know how to fix them. Search for Craft Car Auto Detailing on youtube. He is Australian and owns a Brera. Maybe he can help you out with some things, even that your cars are different. I think he is from Victoria

    My Dad’s Giulietta’s turbo diesel sent oil instead of diesel through the engine but it’s okay because the engine got replaced and it sounds way better.

    I just started learning simple car maintenance after immigrating to the UK. My first car is a 2.0 Giulietta (was told I was crazy having one since Alfas are 'for real enthusiasts/mechanics'). I still love driving it, even though it whistles when I set off. I suspect (hope) this will fix it!

    What a strange little rubber flap, it's basically an appendix on a car engine?! Why couldn't Alfa just blank it off?! I assume that would cost more than a bit of rubber.

    Hi, Neil. I`m form Portugal and i have a 1.6 JTDm Mito from 2008. It has 162500 miles on the clock and now has a problem on the engine coded P091. I think you are very good with FIAT,s. If you were in Portugal i´d be your customer.

  • @davidbuckley1332
    @davidbuckley1332 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had exactly the same issue on my Alfa Mito but the issue came back after a few km's. Thought I had sorted it out and I have a quote for 1500.00 euro's from a Fiat garage to replace most things including a new turbo, great!!!

    Hello. How is the giulietta with this engine ? I know you were talking about the problematic gearbox, but i also read that the giulietta does not have an m32 but a different type of gearbox. Is it really that big of a problem ?

  • @2tomana7ue
    @2tomana7ue ปีที่แล้ว

    Here's a bugger from my side. I have the same code on my 1.6 jtdm Mito. However, the fault appears only when I use cruise control, after a minute or so after.switching cruise control off. It's bugging both me and my mechanics, as they checked everything mechanically related to turbo, even changed the overboost. I can't imagine a better person than you who can solve this puzzle. My guess is something electronic related...

    Hi Neil , I know this is a pretty old video so not sure if you monitor it now , but I have a 2010 Alfa 159 2L jtdm and have the same fault code .. I also have a whistle sound when I accelerate it seems to be related to the turbo speed up and down .. car runs fine apart from the whistle.. could the small blank pipe cause this ? Thanks

    Hi Neil, I would be very grateful if you could help me. I want to hear your advice about these problems on my Giulietta 2011. 1.6 jtdm.
    First - The heating in the car works normally except foot routers. When I want to warm up my foots its blows poorly, but botom central cocpit (plastic around gearbox and d.n.a. system) gets very hot. Do you know maybe why? Where is problem and how demanding it is to repair?
    Second - Electric buzzing after locking the car in the parking lot. Not every day and every parking. About once in few days. When I hear that I need to unlock car and start up, change parking place and after that I can lock car again normllay without buzzing. What it can be?

    Daft question but my Cloverleaf Giulietta has been cutting out on cold start or it runs awful for 10-15 seconds.
    I've changed MAF/map, injectors refurbished, radiator, both 02 sensors.
    Multiecu says idle turbo pressure is 1000mbar, but desired is 382mbar
    Any ideas? I've been to multiple Alfa specialists and they're stumped
