SEWING DATE | Making the famous M7969 pattern with a friend!

My friend Sabrina is a bit of a novice when it comes to apparel sewing. When she invited me over for an entire day of sewing together, I knew exactly which pattern I wanted to bring over! The #m7969 pattern from McCalls is VERY popular for it's easy construction and effortless style. I love how many different versions you can get out of this pattern as well! I have not made it as yet. I have had the pattern for a while and just recently have discovered its popularity. My plan was to make it for my daughter. I really like the blouse version. The short length is really cute and a longer version, like the red dress in its unfinished state, is great, too. I have so much unfinished stuff and I'm trying to force myself to wait, but I may have a rayon like piece that could make a blouse that is calling to me.

Loved your dresses! Did you guys do the view A sleeves? Did you shortened the pattern or alter it in any way? I love the sleeves on both dresses. They are the perfect volume and length!
