Patina is actually the aging of copper and it turns green over time, which is why you see the green tongue tag and extra laces. Patina’s happen to many metals but copper is the most known for its light green color change. See old copper roofs for example.

That is my favorite jordan colourway. I always felt the Jordans were too “basketbally”, so even though I liked them, they simply didn’t work with my style. I feel like this color scheme makes it look less like a basketball shoe and more like a boot - I really like this aesthetic. Plus they remind me of something Han Solo would wear, always a plus in my book hahahaha

I *love* my patinas, man. Quality, soft leather. Smooth suede. They are understated head-turners with the black laces, outright with the mint. Love 'em.

These 1’s are slept on! I switched to the mint laces and the color block makes them go crazy. They are versatile and can be classy or flashy. You pick!

I got these the other week. Absolutely love them!! Much better in hand and on feet. These are a sleeper for me. People will get more interesting over time when they see more people rocking them(imo)! They are 🔥🔥
Patina is not only oxidization, but the reaction of various chemicals (including sweat) and abrasion, general wear etc that gives an "aged" look to an object. Especially, it gives some vintage watches an amazing look. These shoes...they look fine, probably not fire. It's hard to give objects an artificial patina without making them look like try-hards. But IMO this is a good job and a good look.

Nothing specific to do with rust. It is more of a synonym for ”wear and tear”. Anything from a chevy to a shirt gets some sort of patina over time.

There is no hype for this....BUT the second some celebrity gets a trash fit off in these, they will be impossible to acquire. Hoping insta influencers stay away from it long enough for me to grab these to go with a tweed overcoat I found last winter.

Really love this sneaker. It is a nice change from the typical color ways we can usually expect. I paid a little extra on stockx just to get them and not take a probable L, when they finally release here in the states.
1s are plain enough as it is. The last thing I want is yet another basic ass colorway that we've gotten repeatedly. These are Mean🔥🔥🔥🔥. The problem is alot of sneakerheads new and old cant dress lol.

Got mine. It's a high and nice leather in toebox area. Unlike other J1 recently released mostly suede. Colorway is fit for office setting as well, so it's a win.
I totally agree, I’m a female just copped a pair and I’m going to love rocking mine with all my neutral colors as well as my Louie Vuitton bags which I think would pair so well so they get 2 thumbs up from me😌
These are cool. They remind me of the gel lyte III "three lies" by concepts (pretty sure you reviewed those foamie). I wouldn't wear them but they're dope.

These are fire 🔥 the date got pushed back in the states but UK got em. I made the purchase on goat paid extra but I think it’s worth it these are badass. I paid $284 including tax.. they deliver in three days I’m super excited. 🙌🏼💪🏼

After seeing these, I had to INSTA cop on StockX, these are insane. Rusted Shadows give it a somewhat camo/military vibe. Love the rust on the swoosh and the mint hits really set it off. Gonna put mint laces in mine as well. So fire!!! :P

I got 2 pair! One to rock and one to stock. It is classic mature Jordan 1 sneaker head attire. I think the style takes from the military and it's history including the copper which also represents military history with its weaponry such as bullets hence the copper and the old school military green hence the suede.

Well actually not rust it’s the green film that shows up on copper and bronze and sometimes on other metal like the lime green u see on a water fountain or faucet also a old penny that turns green that is patina on it I did a review on them myself if anyone is interested as well🤩 I follow u guys and u know u are my inspiration No pun intended❣️
