    I think these are out of my price range but I feel your anxiety with the old travel cribs... When I go to my parents i'm never sure if it will have all 4 sides locked up or 3.

    Hi! This is so helpful! Would you recommend the babybjörn or uppababy one for frequent traveling & international flights? I like that the uppababy one has more functionality and things like that but it also seems bulkier and heavier than the babybjörn 🤔

    I would love to see a comparison of how these might fit in a suitcase for when traveling via airplane, I’m hoping to find a travel bed that could possibly be fit into a large suitcase so we don’t have to carry it around separately.

    Does it make a difference if the mattress is on the ground or raised a few inches? I am worried about setting my baby down to sleep if the mattress is on the ground, since I am taller.

    I have the Guava Lotus which converts to a backpack. Not as easy to fold as the Nuna and UPPAbaby. It also has to be converted to a bassinet, not built in! Cool to see these compared though, thanks for the video.

    • @michaeldunigan5839
      @michaeldunigan5839 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@ctbrown9949 yeah we used it as a bassinet and then whenever we traveled as a crib. The backpack feature was easy when loading up the car and bringing luggage. Baby 2 on the way and we plan on keeping the lotus

  • @sakarim

    Having had both the Guava and Nuna for over a year now, we prefer the Guava. The mattress padding is much softer but the Nuna is like sleeping in plastic :( The cover for it is soooo flimsy and doesn’t have a zipper, so we didn’t even bother flying with this. It would either fall out easily or the bag would be ripped up super easy. The Guava traveled with us numerous times and held up extremely well. And when our mattress was slightly damaged, they immediately sent us another one.

    Question. My almost 3 month old is already nearing the weight limit (14lbs6oz) so the pack and play in grandparents room and the pack and play in living room are going to be done (bassinet portion) I am not comfortable putting him so low to the floor, did you say the remi has extra level? I ordered a mini crib and he has a crib in his nursery. I also have the chicco alpha lite... thanks ... I'm really a nuna fan but 15 max weight is like in a week. Thanks

    Is it safe for baby to be as low on the ground as they would be in the bjorn? I’m tempted to purchase but I can’t get my head around why they’re so low down. I’d have thought they’d need good airflow from underneath to avoid over heating or getting a draft? What are your thoughts here please?

    I'm a new soon-to-be parent living in a city with 20 million people- so cash and room are both limited. My partner and I also have plans to travel every couple months.
    What's the benefit of a real crib? Can I get away with buying only a travel crib? Do you have any thoughts about this?

    • @MagicBeansVideos
      @MagicBeansVideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi and congratulations! Most cribs have the ability to turn into toddler beds and later down the line full size VS a travel crib can easily be taken with you but will only last the first few years. It all depends on what will work best for your family.

      Could you make a video on just one thing-- which car seats are best for taxis (and Uber, Lift, etc)? Here and there, some youtubers touch on it, but don't really spend that much time focusing on this aspect of travel.

    In my opinion there are two types of travel crib buyers. 1) Someone like a grandparent where they essentially need a crib full time but don't want to have a full setup crib 2) someone who is actually using the crib during travel.
    All of these "travel" cribs are nice but WAYYYY overkill for someone who is actually just traveling with their baby. A travel crib shouldn't run you more than $100. Anything more than that and you should just go buy a real crib.

    • @MamaZ87
      @MamaZ87 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not say they are overkill. As with everything, there are features that one may feel are necessary and will pay for. I love and enjoy all of the sleeping options I have for my children. The ease is wonderful and as a stay at home mom I do not regret any of my purchases.

      @@griz5426 For my husband and I the benefits of a crib were to have a larger sleeping space to transition into once they outgrew the bassinet, and feel comfortable in.
      If you travel often, then yes I do believe you can get away with just a travel crib. I would just go with a good one that is approved for overnight sleeping. We have the remi and we love it. We got it to use for when we travel but use it at home daily.
