I searched for 6 mos, found mine last week, flew & drove home! '03 with under 100K for $6500. The leather is like new, body is nearly perfect, babied by only 2 owners in south. It is SO beautiful! I agree with all your reasons but since I don't drive manual...well yea it's automatic. Maybe learn for next one!;) But I plan to keep this fantastic car for years!! GET ONE if you can to anyone considering👍

I love your enthusiasm for this car. Might I suggest a 6th reason to buy a Celica. The liftback or liftgate. When you fold the rear seat down there is about an acre of space back there. I put a blanket over that space for my dog and she loves it, lots if room for her to lie down or move around. So this isn't just a sporty ride, it's practical too! Good for tools, surfboards, whatever.

And i get so much attention and alot of compliments because people who never seen one thinks that im driving a really expensive exotic car lol. Not to mention all the mods ive done makes it look even more different. They are just beyond great im never gonna get rid of mine. I cant name a better car to have. Living in a apartment has been hell on mine, I had mine vandalized and I refuse to fix anything on the exterior until I finish renovating the house I just bought. Gonna need new headlight assemblies and front fenders and a new coat of silver metallic but mechanically my car is perfect. No grinding gears, lift engages, and the curvy roads around where I live make driving a blast!

I absolutely love mine celica. My only 3 issues: the butt looks pretty high, the body line is not straight but slightly angeled. Would be perfect if the low window line would be parallel to the street. next issue: still got the original lights. If there would be some sharper angeled lines in the lights like in the ferrari 488 or nissan gtr that car would look definitely 100 times more agressive what leads me to my last point. The car looks agressive, and when you ride alone you can have fun with it. But since mine got just 143ps if i want to show someone that this car is fun, my celli just wont speed up if a second person sits in the car. Its always like they think there are like 300-400ps under the hood so they all say... Dont worry, i like speed, you can floor the pedal... And im like well thars what im doin...

outdated? and these have a good amount of power. someone who wants a car like this is not gonna care about tech, was made for driving. parts are easy to find wdym? you can still buy pretty much everything brand new from toyota and there is still more aftermarket parts being made

Toyota Celica GTS from 2000 to 2006 are the worse engine ever made. It's a collaboration with Yamaha. If this car is driven hard all the time. The piston rings will snap. Also, the engine suffers from oil starvation due to bad design from the oil pan. Don't get me wrong. I love the look and design of these cars. I just wish Toyota made it more reliable. I know some people that replaced their engines about 2-3 times during their ownership.

Not true. Many Celica GT-S 2zz-ge have over 300k miles.

Don't get me wrong. You should just link Scotty. You kinda just copied everything he said in his video

@@joshuaprobably852 Scotty Kilmer aside. Are you going to deny the flawed oil pan design? The mechanic that i go to get lots of GT-S. He either rebuild the engine or replace them entirely. I've been eyeing on these cars for awhile but for the price north of 6k and their junk. Also whatever things might go wrong could set you back 2k up. No sir. I can get a car for 5k and beat modified GT-S all day.

@@40Lovetomatch The oil pan and oil pump issues are common knowledge as are the fixes. If anybody's buying one of these cars, they owe it to themselves to do their homework but then that's the case with *any* higher performance/high revving engine design.
