People definitely need to give her a little slack for the first concert. She was clearly nervous and emotional, I mean, she had MASSIVE shoes to fill. But once she gets comfortable, she really does amazing
She was really trying to push the rasp in this first outing and I'm not sure it always benefitted her or the songs. In subsequent performances, she's backed off a little bit from trying to imitate Chester and just allows her own personality to shine through. I can only imagine how hard it must be to walk that line between being yourself and honoring the original songs, but she's doing very well. The shocking thing is that she's starting to take ownership of some songs like New Divide, Waiting for the End, Friendly Fire, and My December and you can see how amazing she really is as a vocalist. I think this is one of the greatest reboots of all time - props to everyone involved.
I’ve seen her live performances from her debut to the Music Awards. She is definitely more comfortable and doing a lot better with the old and new songs. Without a doubt in mind. Difference between night and day. Just needed more time.
Really liked part 1, hopefully you wont milk too long for the rest of it. Would love to see/hear your reaction about Keys to the Kingdom they did live for the first time ever
Maybe unpopular opinion but this is my favorite performance of "Crawling" by her. I think there are a few songs she absolutely slayed in this very first performance despite being hella nervous. And Crawling is definitely among them. But maybe I'm a bit biased because she basically got to sing the entire song here, during the following concerts she lets the audience sing big parts of the song. All in all I was satisfied with this performance and she only heavily improved on it during the tour that followed.
The timer thing was apparently a reference to the album name, FROM ZERO. The timer counted down and then started counting up... FROM ZERO lmao. Just a lil dad joke from Mike and the guys turns out 😄
It takes some time to get used, you heard HT and Meteora for 20+ years also, this was the first concert, she was nervous and crying She sounds amazing live! check Sao Paulo concert!
It's unfair for her to react at this show. It's her first ever , she was nervous and emotional, that was not perfect. Think of it replacing Chester in Linkin Parrk. You have to react to the Sao Paulo show. After some shows, now she's perfect. She's as good as Chester in a different way. Even better on some songs.If it's not for a reaction video, do it for yourself, she'amazing and the show is crazy.

Mike admited that when he first listened to Emily sing Crawling with an accoustic guitar that was it, "that's the f*ckig song" he said.
