Cutting Garage Door Panels For Smaller Opening

Here is how to cut down larger garage door panels to make work for a smaller opening. Or to resize garage door panels that are just a little too long.

Would you do a top or bottom panel (insulated) when adjusting for height?

Suppose could cut a panel length wise . But would have to find some way to keep the cut material from separating from the foam. Could insert & nail a 2x4 or overlap the cut off edge as a cap & screw in place.

@@manbuilds1587 Cheers. I'm thinking a 1x4 strapped to either side and the use a jigsaw with a long blade.....
