    I have been using this shifter for about a week. Althought I drive bmws, I dont like the down press to go into reverse, might just be my flimsy rig. Was wondering if there was a way to remove this feature so It will flow into it like any gear.

    Thank you for another in-depth review and teardown!
    I've been interested in hearing your thoughts on it 🙂

    Thanks for the video! Can you please post a demonstration of the automatic downshift blipping next time you happen to use some moza pedals?

    Would you recommend this or the shh shifter?
    Just curious as I’m stuck between picking one of these two

    I got this, but it is very loud. Is there anything I can do to make it quite. (I tried the bumper things it comes with. It did nothing). Plz Help

      try changing the plastic sleeve for a rubber one

    A magnet is responsible for switching there, not a mechanical switch, did I understand correctly? If so, then it would be a great option if the 7th gear turned on normally, without lowering the lever down.

    May i ask, its M10 or M12 thread gear knob? Cos Sim Racing Garage said it was a M12 thread.

    LOL. I ended up buying an HGP shifter on the back of this review (haven't connected it yet!). I, too, own a tuxedo cat!

    Looks pretty nice . Any news whether or not they are making a sequential ?

    Great video as per usual 👌. How would you rate it aggainst the Fanatec shifter?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This feels nicer to me. The tactile has more tension than the Fanatec.

    • @zenflight2450
      @zenflight2450 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimRacingCorner Yup, thought so too, but sequential mode on Fana just gives it an edge... Slight edge. :)

    • @Burntoilcoffee
      @Burntoilcoffee ปีที่แล้ว

      better then the Fanatec?
      thats great to hear
      and no sequential is a plus

  • @StompSlaps
    @StompSlaps ปีที่แล้ว

    Can I ask why you haven't got the sim racing engineering mods on the CSL pedals? Did they break? didn't feel right? On the verge of pulling the trigger and the price is kind of putting me off in favour of just an RC spring from ebay.. cheers dude, another useful video :)

    how strong is the lateral tension in kg?

  • @yamyam60
    @yamyam60 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great shifter and review as always. Moza should also include or at least manufacture as an optional accessory a shorter shaft which would transform the shifter to short-throw and stronger tactile feel.

    Quality review! So has this replaced the Project D as your No.1 shifter choice?
    The rubber noise dampeners are a massive selling point for me. Not shown on the website, are they included as standard?
    Do you know if Moza have a dedicated sequential shifter in the works?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, the Moza shifter is staying on the rig now. The dampers are included as standard. I don't know if Moza have a sequential in the works.

    Would you happen to have a teardown vid too of the Moza SGP seq shifter?

    • @SimRacingCorner

      I don't. I meant too, but one of the screw heads was stripped, so I couldn't take off the cover.

    Nice review. Plenty of options these days (this one, simjack and the generic Ali Express). Is simcat ok? She seems to be heavy breathing or is it just me?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Simcat seems okay, she's still running around causing chaos and destruction with vigor!

    what type of screw bit would I need for those screws?

  • @cppctek

    Any way to make it easier to shift with? Mines new and it feels way stiffer than it looks like every one else’s is. I’ve felt one in store and it didn’t feel this bad either. Did I get a bad unit or can I lube it some where or adjust tension on those side screws inside or something.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's no tension adjustment. Maybe it just needs a bit of breaking in. If you watch my teardown, you can get in there and add extra grease to the spring ball bearings.

    I want to buy a moza r5 bundle with this shifter
    I'm on laptop so I only have 2 USB ports. Can I connect this shifter directly to the moza r5 wheel base with the "dash" input or do I have to connect it to my laptop?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you can't do that, the wheelbase sockets are wired for specific devices. You'll need to run the shifter via USB. You can run it through a USB hub.

    this or the simjack h shifter?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm quite happy to use either on feel, they're both very nice. But it's easily fair to say the Moza is higher quality when you go through all aspects of build quality and the features.

    I don't like these hard shifts. I have to use a lot of force... I've been playing for 10 days now, and I can't get used to it...

  • @tomaszbilski5820
    @tomaszbilski5820 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thrust basically is a piece of shit without mods. It feels like wooden stick stucked in ground. No proper feeling. I am happy after installing mods but still price is a joke. This is definitely a better choice.

  • @deepwaterled
    @deepwaterled 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I had this thing for a week, its already completely missing shifts, now it gets ZERO shifts right, their sensors in this shifter are LOOSELY installed, and it appears like they installed it with the wire below the throw rod so I imagine it just popped the wires loose, the idiots at moza couldnt even hot glue the wires in place, let alone use quality wires and sensors, all that metal and now its a $150 paper weight. NEVER buying a MOZA product again, this was a horrible experience. MANY others have this same issue mis-shifting because the wiring/sensors were not properly installed. TYPICAL Chinese company.
    MOZA = CHINA
    FANATEC = GERMANY

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It's worth saying. Fanatec products are made in China.
