I was teaching a 9th grade class and asked one of my students to share a song he loves so we can play it as we work. He was embarrassed because he thought nobody would like it. He chose this. The class never heard it before. By the end they were all singing together, just a beautiful record to unite the people. At the end of class he thanked me and I said no THANK YOU. Today you were the teacher. In the Bronx we don't hear a lot of country music but at that moment that student exposed his classmates to a whole new world.
Even if you're not American, you can still relate and resonate with what the singer is trying to tell...It's a love letter to your motherland, nature and life.

im literally from nyc, never lived in the countryside but this song hits every single time
That feeling😻
Oh, I LOVED this when I was a kid! I always wanted my dad to play in the car, I remember driving from family gatherings and we'd play this, I loved it, I always asked what the lyrics were. This put a smile on my face. I was so little...ah...
Edit: ok that makes me sound like I'm older than I am, I'm a teenager, I just get nostalgic to when I was younger 😅
The fact that you felt insecure about your age is indicating that you are a teenager
Relates to every country,,,,,,every person,,, nothing to beat the place of your childhood memories....INDIA
