Spend a summer afternoon with me as I clean my house and simultaneously parent my 5 boys and 2 golden doodle pups who are all out of school for the summer. I clean my office area, I dust, I fold laundry, I vacuum, straighten up my kitchen, and even give my 2 youngest son’s room a straighten and a sweep. My kids are grown, but when they were teenagers, I would clean their rooms weekly. Not that I had to, but because I loved them! I was a stay at home mom and had plenty of time to do it! Also, no one cleans like Momma!! Lol
So true Beverly!! Every space in the house needs a momma’s touch every once in a e in a while!! 😊

It’s always interesting to me how others think they know what’s best for YOUR kids 🤪 my love language is acts of service and doing things for my kids is one way that makes me feel good.
Mine too Becky!! ❤ Plus kids now a days have so much to do!! There are days my middle son can leave the house at 7 am and not return till 10pm. When he gets free time I want him to enjoy it and if that means I do his laundry and clean his room every once in a blue moon, I’m ok with that! 😊

You’ve added so much space to your basement. Adding value to your home. Looking forward to how it all turns out. A family room is somewhere that your boys can hang out and may give you and hubby a quiet upstairs. That would be nice❤
Yes Patti!! For the amount we paid for the remodel, we tripled that in house value!! 👏🏻 And yes, we are planning for it to be the boys space to hang and have friends over!! We are all so excited for the finished product!! 🎉😊

My relationship with my kids is my greatest joy, I didn't have that with my mom growing up so I was bound and determined to provide it for my kids!!! 🥰

Don't pay attention to the negativity. We weren't made to be everyone's cup of tea. Do what you want it's your household. It's a lot having a big family and you are doing great! Love the one sock fashion...could become a new trend..lol. I always start the day with my hair down and by mid-day my hair is up in some kind of way. Anywho...have a great day and weekend. Yes, I want my kids to be kids!!! Nowadays they are so much busier than back in my day. When my kids get jobs, there can be days in the school year where they leave the house at 7am and won't get back till 11pm. If they get free time, I want them to spend it doing kid stuff and if my doing their laundry weekly and cleaning their room every once in a blur moon allows that I will gladly do it!!!

It was a tough case this time, he had pain for almost 6 days!!! 😢 But I was so proud of him, he went to the public pool on Friday and as soon as he came home he had me put drops in his ear to help prevent another case!! 👏🏻

Have you though about a bench storage for the shoes at the door. We had 6 sons. Shoes at the entry were a nightmare. Eventually did get a shoe rack. It helped.
I’m gonna put one in the basement as soon as construction is done. I want us to use that door instead of the front. 😊 I’ll look for something for up here too, but there is an air vent right beside the door, so I’ll have to be choosy. It will be mostly something to fill the space there and for looks!!
I have two grown daughters. One is 22 and still lives at home. She helps me all the time and is very tidy. In contrast, her older sister, who's 31, was a tasmanian devil. She also helped me clean, but I must confess, she's still a tasmanian devil. 😂😂
Hahahaha!! My girls are like that too!! Oldest helps but man she can live in chaos and the youngest, neat as a pin!! 😂
My youngest son is 45 yrs old he lives with us & works I will clean his room.
I think us mom’s will always want to help our “babies”, I know I will!! 😊
Highly suggest a shoe rack it has help us keep down on the shoe clutter! :)

I wish that I could get down on my knees to do things. But when I get down I have to call 911 to get me up. I have had both knees operate on so I can't get down only if I fall. We have a mobile home next door we're living in my aunt house we left alot of things. So I have to go up & start packing things up get rid of them. My husband said if we haven't seen it in 12 year get rid of it. My oldest son said mommy just go through what you want & things that you don't want call somebody to come get it.
