I do HVAC, interesting to see how the compressors get scrapped - I have a couple of condensing units and compressors in my back yard right now - planned on taking them up to the shop so the scrap guy can take them...too much work for that copper.
It is more work than it's worth except if you make a cool video out of it 😉

You deserve a like!!! Cuz you called It a foundry a lot of people call it a forge but there’s a difference between a forge and a foundry... a foundry is for casting/melting metal and pouring into a new....
a forge is for blacksmithing/heating metal up hitting it into a form...

I'd have cut out the white stripes and etched them with ferric chloride. I don't know if that would have made a "frosty" or maybe a matte finish on it, but I would think it would produce some sort of contrast between them and the red stripes. Or maybe cut out the white ones and sandblast it with the tape protecting the red and blue.

Haha! maybe! I actually do have a Dremel tool but I was afraid I'd mess up cause it's very easy to push a tiny bit the wrong way... 😅 I'll try it on another project for sure, though! 😁 Thanks for watching!
