    Please check the rubber gasket for cleanliness after being used. Unfortunately you cannot get replacement gaskets for the blade assembly, which would be a lot cheaper, you have to buy a whole new blade assembly. I took mine back. Ninja should be advising buyers to remove the rubber gasket for cleaning after every third or fourth cleaning.

    I was kinda sad about the Vitamix blender so I’m going to give the ninja twist a try I like how the blade is at the bottom vs having long blade with razors on each side of it because it chops up everything which leaves foam. I’m definitely going to buy this one today!

    I have the other version of this blender it is pretty good. I use this blender to make my protein smoothies with frozen fruit and milk. It is so delicious. I've used all 3 settings to make my smoothie. Extract, frozen and Bowl. I noticed the difference between Extract and Bowl the Extract makes the smoothie more smoother and Bowl is more thicker.

    I just bought the Twisti and I tried almond butter with 2 cups of almond (I bought this just for that lol!). Maybe almond is harder than peanuts, I used 3 times of spead button to got a paste instead of butter. I love the machine though, powerfull. Thanks for the video it was helpfull!

      @lisbeth6911 I used a lot more oil (olive & coconut, yes, both) to get the preferred consistency. Also, several rounds of blending.
      I was about to box it up and return it. You just have to experiment with it. Good luck.

    Smoothie tip: Don't use ice, use frozen fruit. I use banana (not frozen, add first), frozen strawberries, blueberries, cherries, mangos (any combo), then add enough liquid to cover the fruit, I use milk or orange juice (can use water, but it makes the smoothie bland). If the blender isn't mixing, then you need to add a little more liquid.

    mine broke first time using. the blade part sheared of from where it is held into the plastic screw lid thing... it basically tore prefect circle around blade so it is muy fuerte but maybe too strong for plastic lid/base/blade part. not for nut butter... it did make the first batch but second one it made loud noise and pooped walnut butter into base etc since it basically made a 1.5 inch hole in the bottom when it broke... gonna go for one with blade in blender part or something more sturdier for nut butter. but it does have power!!! so much it broke itself.

  • @debphelan9424

    Great review. It might valuable to reference earlier models to show power difference, cleaning differences like this has removable washers versus a large triple blade. I had different ninja blenders. In the end it’s power for output versus cleaning. Well done ❤❤

    I wish ninja would re-engineer the blade assembly, specifically the gasket. The gasket is deep down and even with cleaning, mold growth still occurs on the gasket. Ninja does not sell replacement gaskets, only replacement blade assemblies.

      Very interesting. We appreciate that info ! Cheers. Marc.

    • @marydaunais
      @marydaunais 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That’s why I took mine back. My friend who has the just the blender with 3 jars was using hers for 2 yrs before discovering that there was a gasket tucked far down in the blade assembly. When she finally got the gasket out, it was BLACK from 2 yrs of daily use. The gasket was full of food and mold. Ninja does not tell you in any of their instructions that there is a rubber gasket at the bottom of the blade assembly and it should be taken out frequently and cleaned. I would think this could be a real health hazard.
      Ninja does not sell replacement gaskets, you have to buy the whole blade assembly…depending how often it’s used it would get a little expensive. Too bad, I would have like to have kept it.

    It looks like the underside of the blades on the Ninja TWISTi would be dangerous to clean.
    I make peanut butter at least once a month and I make it in my Hamilton Beach Food Processor. I never add any oil to the peanuts because the peanut oil in the peanuts is all you need. But, if you are in a hurry and you want it done fast, I guess you could add oil. It takes about 4 minutes to make peanut butter using just peanuts. I also add 1/2 tsp salt to 2 cups of unsalted peanuts.
