There really is no point in lying about it. My husband and I stopped telling our stories years ago cuz people just don't believe, or even if they go along with it, that look in their eyes gives it away. It's nice to find a place online where a neat person like you can tell other people's stories, and those of us who have them can feel a little more valid lol.
I've never saw one but I believe. I work at a state park and there have been sightings here. In fact there was a crew came and filmed and got the story. I've heard people come here and search for Bigfoot. I pray I never see one. I think I would panic. Well anyway you know what u saw so if people don't believe you that's their problem.lol

You know, I grew up running round in a cab over RV with my family, we were always out and about on weekends and took trips whenever we could. We had some mighty strange things happen to us too. Some of it could have been caused by humans, but having things thrown at the camper, or having it rocked from side to side when there’s no wind and your out in the middle of nowhere, is super strange. My dad was a big ol’ Marine, and he would not tangle with it, and did not want to talk about it. We would look at each other and just stay quiet. Odd things would also happen to us in the areas around Fort Bragg, Russian River, and Cloverdale, before they were built up - gold areas. I remember that one day we woke up and as usual my brother and I got up early to run around outside and something had left small fish in a straight line along our back bumper. The thing is that this back bumper had an end that opened so that you could store your fishing poles in it. It’s as though something knew what we wanted and tried to give it to us.
Elizabeth, this is a great intro into what sounds to be an excellent story. You should develop it further if You haven't already. If You haven't written alot before You can start it as a childrens story to get the body of the story out then tweak it into a longer more mature intricate form from there. This has been My personal trick in writing and it works like a gem. 💎
This is one of the reasons why I stick with 5th wheel RVs. The height of the bedroom prevents an average height person from casually looking into your bedroom. In this case though, it probably wouldn't have mattered because of this creature's height. This is also why I'm always well armed when I'm RVing.

This happened a long time ago to my husband and me and our few children that we had at the time in the '70s. We had rented a rustic cabin in the Poconos. I think it was there, as we were from New York and we knew that we could find beautiful places in Pennsylvania for vacationing if one wanted to just rough it. So we rented it for a weekend or whatever. Maybe more days, and the kids were between the ages of 5 snd 7 years old. This place had a nice pond with chairs as well, set up, and I remember the dragonflies would light on you with pretty multi-colored wings, and it was just very peaceful and pleasant, which I think everybody NEEDS from time to time for sure. Also if I remember, one could do some fishing, which my husband absolutely loved to do The first couple of nights were fine and totally normal. We thoroughly enjoyed the serene beauty of the forest around us and the lovely lake, though. About the third night though we had just locked the screen door leaving the main door open, because it was rather warm out and we wanted to get a breeze in the place. Well we left the next day... Thank GOODNESS the lock was ON the screen because around IN the dead of night someone pulled the screen twice making it really loud and I'm glad that they lock HELD!! I remember I was just FROZEN in fear. I couldn't even move. Of course we didn't sleep the rest of the night and I think my husband had the courage finally to go over and just slam the front door shut and lock it. As I said we left the next day and we told the proprietor what had happened. I didn't go into the office, that was a decent distance away from the cabins. I assume they gave my husband a refund. But we have no idea what it WAS, and we may never know what it was. And I just hate to think of the screen door not holding with the lock. Who knows WHAT was on the other side of that screen. Of course with our minds we try to rationalize everything, and I thought maybe it could have been the proprietor of the place checking the cabins in the night (?) and he noticed that we just had the screen door open only, and maybe he was going to open it and close the main door quietly just to keep us safer for whatever reason.(?) But I doubt that THAT'S what it was really. I think when the screen door was pulled it made this banging sound really loud waking us up, and whoever was on the other side might have thought maybe they have guns or something, and I better run for my life because now I know that they are probably AWAKE. There's been too many cases. I think of people seeing these creatures called Bigfoot, and NOW we have these ones reported that look like a large wolf with long fangs and yellow eyes. I just pray for everyone's SAFETY. I know how scared out of our minds we were that night when this happened, and I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else, Especially with young children. We've never had anything happen again, and this was so long ago, and I'm not that far from 80 now... and my husband's passed away 10 years. But life goes on and it's interesting that now I live in the Poconos with my lovely daughter, and we've been here going on 5 years. It's absolutely beautiful and very peaceful The only occurrences that cause any kind of caution are when the bears come around and we have to take the bird feeders in at night. Beyond that, just nothing. So I'm so very, very grateful that we've been safe. It doesn't hurt to have the three dogs we own either!😇👌
Remember, humans are the most dangerous animal we have to fear. Knowing homes/vacation rentals in a mountain area, a serial killer will stalk humans like animals, silently, with deadly intent until they make an attempt. Always be aware when you vacation anywhere. We want to get away, have fun , relax, but be aware. Don’t ever leave doors unlocked! Sad but true. When you’ve had sisters badly harmed by an unseen male predator you never feel completely safe again, and remain very aware that this happens more than we know but never expect it will happen to you!

I am in Florida , I've seen two , up close , but no matter how many times i tell the experience some will believe , some won't . I've never really cared if they believed or not , I was with two other people , they experienced the same thing and that's good enough .

Well leslievey I will confirm Bigfoots are real. I live in Alaska and those bastards give me trouble on event. I work a few hours a week at a remote dam and they like to throw basketball sized rocks into the water splashing me. You just have to give it right back to them. I will run at them yell and fire rounds into the treeline. The much less likely not to annoy me for a while after
Never encountered one, even in passing. But my grandfather did, twice... and he was not one to "tell tall tales". He was a trucker all his life, and a good portion of it was driving logging trucks up and down the dirt trails to logging camps to pick up the harvests, which is where he saw "sasquatch" or whatever one wants to call it. His rig was too big for them to mess with, and he was too interested in just getting away and on with his job to mess with them, so they were both fleeting encounters... but given his nature and personality, well, I have little choice but to believe him.
A friend and I were tent camping in Rocky Mountain National park in August of 2015. At breakfast I told my friend I heard something bumping into stuff during the night. He acted like I was hallucinating or crazy. After breakfast, a park ranger drove up and said we had to leave, there was a grizzly in the campground. I lived in an area with black bears, but grizzlies are a different bear. Last time I was in Yosemite Hertz didn't have the sub-compact I reserved and "upgraded " us to a full size Dodge Polaris. It looked so much like a cop car other cops would wave at us and the gate guards at Yosemite mistook us for a state vehicle and let us into Yosemite without paying. I retired to Thailand, we have wild elephants, forget about bears!
I discovered this channel a month or two ago, and LOVE it. Not that it has anything to do with what I'm about to say. I am an old guy now. I'm sixty five and just retired Friday, officially anyhow. I won't get long winded. I have always loved the outdoors but never had the gumption or courage of Chris here, but I was blessed to have two friends - brothers - who grew up on my street as a kid who were avid outdoors guys due to their Father being from Greece, first generation and a real man's man, and they had property in the Allegheny Forrest and Park area in Southern New York State. We spend many a weekend and several single weeks in their secluded cabin area within the park for years growing up. Long story short, THEY were the woodsmen and I was the tag along, but in 1977 I and the two brothers who were one and two years, respectively, younger than me, took a bus trip across country to visit Yellowstone in Wyoming and Montana and then Glacier National Park in Northern Montana. Really old school way of traveling and with literally fifty dollars in my pocket. Yep, old. We were gone about a month and a half, and we hitchhiked hundreds of miles and backpacked MOST of the time in the back country. We had no firearm. Nothing. We encountered a bear one night (thankfully a black bear) and once or twice a group of "questionable people" who were of concern to us but nothing came of it. Keep in mind, we were in a few instances in situations where we didn't really see people for days at a time, and we were OUT there before cell phones or anything, and if something did arise you were miles and miles from any help. The point I'm trying to make is, these days, and even fifteen years or twenty years ago and farther out, I'd NEVER go out to a similar place without a firearm or two, at least. At LEAST. I live in Cleveland and it's very dangerous and we have constitutional carry now, thank the Lord, but even without I have my CC and don't go anywhere without any type of protection and I don't think that's an overreach at all, especially if you're dozens or more miles away from help or assistance. So, forgive the long post; regulations or not, always bring a firearm of suitable caliber to your camping destination and frankly, I'm surprised these people had nothing with them for protection. Kind of foolhardy in my estimation.
@dyates6380-I totally agree! I too RV in remote places, boondock camping & alone. But never w/out plenty of guns. Fortunately I've never had anything happen, but I'd feel like fighting back in a case like this one. Seems like a lot more weird stuff is going on now than years ago. Stay safe!
I had an RV for a few years after I retired and would never have stayed parked somewhere that I felt uncomfortable. I was traveling HWY 20 to Idaho across Eastern Oregon in a very remote area. It was late at night and I came across a remote rest area in the high desert in the middle of nowhere. I was the only one parked there, and there were a few lights on, but not too bright. About an hour after I laid down pebbles started bouncing off the RV a few at a time. So I got up and looked out and didn't see any other vehicles and it's all very flat, high desert out there. I then went out and looked around and saw nothing anywhere. So I went back in an was going to lay back down and small pebbles bounced off my vehicle again. Not one to hang out, with high strangeness going on, I jumped in the RV seat and drove on down the road. I knew there was another, more developed and used, rest stop closer to Ontario, OR, about an hour away, so drove there and spent the rest of the night there. I worked and lived in Yosemite for a few years and also lived a few in Oakhurst, CA in the heart of the Sierra National forest, a really spectacular National Forest. Never had anything weird happen while living and exploring both places.
We drove through that hwy 20 area and stopped at a potty last Sept. It was already cold, and nobody was around. I could see it being a bit creepy! The rest stop also had an old useable water pump. Pretty cool! I've also lived in Oakhurst, Yosemite, and Mariposa. I can imagine that these people might have encountered a bear, using their r.v. as a scratching post. Not only are they big, hairy, and grumpy, but they can also be vocal, sounding kind of like a cranky deep voiced man, lol.

You tell the BEST stories! The way you tell them is just as good as the stories themselves. My Grandpa told good stories to I miss him. He built an off grid cabin in Nelson County VA. Land locked with the George Washington National forest and within walking distance with the Appalachian trail. I'm 49 years old been in the mountains all my life. I'm a logger / truck driver and I stay out for about 2 weeks at a time so I sleep in the woods etc. I've seen and heard things from time to time myself. Nobody is in the woods more than me. The same thing happen to a guy that my dad knows , he goes to my dads church. .it happen in the sierra by West Point ca . His trailer got lifted up a couple feet and drop by back down while he was sleeping around 3 am waiting for the next day hunt. He got out of the trailer and fire couple rounds in the air sending whatever it was scattering. He wasn’t scare and still slept through the night . Next morning he left early morning while it was still pitch black to get a head start up the logging trail. He said as he was only couple hundred feet away from his trailer whatever lifted his trailer that night was standing behind a tree growling , barking and howling at him … it was also throwing rocks and tree Limbs at him .. he got spook, and aim his rifle at it not firing and slowly back away . He then took off running back to his trailer and went home …
I'm from Alberta as well. Back in the mid 70's my younger brother swears he saw a sasquatch, during a winter storm, when they were coming back from Nordegg. My brother isn't the type to make up stories so I tend to believe there is such a thing.
We live in the Pac NW and my oldest son camps ALOT. One of his trips, he was off trail, camping with his GF, sitting by the waters edge, and across the river they started hearing wood knocks and grunts. After dusk had passed, and dark started to really settle in, rocks started to fly across the river to my sons campsite. Easily 30-40 ft. Makes no sense! They scramble into the tent and my son fired off his small caliber rifle a few times and everything went still. They sat up till quite late, finally fell asleep. And about 3am the same nonsense starts, wood knocks, rocks flying across the river, hoots……again my son fires off his rifle and yells. Silence. Nothing more that night. The next morning as soon as it got light they packed up and beat feet!
They were experiencing a Sasquatch and they can feel your fear. They talk to you telepathy and in your dreams. I used to live with 9 in Ohio backwoods cabin and they got so bad that I sold my cabin. They won't hurt you unless you are shooting at them. I know alot about Sasquatch or Bigfoot
That's not aggression. They were playing around like kids also probably smelled kitchen activity. Something strong enough to pick up an RV isn't gonna be stopped by that paper thin aluminum RV skin.
@@paxwallace8324 I completely agree with you 100%. With a beast powerful enough to lift a RV, it would be easy peasy for it to tear into the RV. Thankfully that didn’t happen, although it was still a very scary story.

I ended up in California in the spring of 2022, I will save the back story for time. However, I find myself on a 80 acre old Chinese hemp farm in a valley called Lucerne Valley in San Bernardino county. This property was loaded with huge, half wind eaten, broken down green houses. There were lots of campers, trailers and rv's on property also. This was my reason for being there. I got a hook up to stay at this place for free, while I figure things out. Apart from myself, there was only one person who was doing security, since there were still some valuable equipments there. I got a nice 40ft. Cold storage trailer, customized to a 2 bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. Quite comfortable. I found myself two beautiful stray puppies shortly after I got there. About 3 months after I got there, I went in the end of May, and 3 months later in August, my pups grow really fast, but they were still only about 4 months old, and for some reason they didn't bark and they were really scared of everything. If a Ravin flys too close or another stray dog wonders on the property, they would run straight to my feet and try to hide between them. But most of all, they fear the sounds of coyotes.At this time, they sleeping indoors and I would keep the door unlocked so they could open it up with their paws and go to do their business outside. But after a few petty thefts on the property, I didn't feel so secure anymore, so I locked the door. Next morning, I didn't like what I saw on the floor, so the following night I let them sleep outside. I must let you know, they sleep outside all the time, since it was high summer, and outside was often cooler at night than inside, they like to hang out on the steps, but they always have the option to come inside when they want, as long as the door is unlocked. But now that I locked it, they were not happy. I also want them to be brave dogs, and I think that if they stayed outside, that would help, it didn't. I am not the guy who gets scared of nothing. I am not big, I am not bad, never served, not a fighter, never been to jail, not religious and don't believe in crypto-zoology, but love the stories. I am , however, very cautious of people and try to stay away from most people. As for the wild and wildlife, I am totally at peace and have no fear. when the coyotes howl at nights, if it's close, I grabbed my night light and go investigate. If I hear owls, I want to see them. My dogs, if they could talk, would beg me please not to go, I could tell in their behavior, but they would faithfully follow me despite them being scared, I was so funny to me. However, one night, they were outside, the door was locked when they started frantically trying to break the door open! I could hear sounds coming from one of the green houses that was near to my trailer. Is sounds like some animal was in big trouble. Almost like a wolf getting caught in a snare, like I saw on some TH-cam videos. I could hear ripping and clawing and grunting and panting, but whatever it was it definitely sounds like a dog getting caught in something. I grabbed my light and machete and open the door, my dogs flew past my foot, right behind the sofa. I went out and shine the light at the green house, the sound stopped. I went to the door and sweep the light inside, looking for eyeshlne, nothing. My puppies joined now, shaking like Scooby Doo. I stepped inside and search every inch of that greenhouse and find nothing! I said whatever it was, it must have left. The thing is, not even 10 minutes after I went back in, the sound came back again! Even when I stand at my door and look over at the green house, I could see it shaking as if being torn apart. But if I shine the light or went too close, the sounds stopped. I didn't figure out what it was and is now my biggest mystery. I didn't feel afraid or felt like my life was in danger, but I am very disappointed that I didn't get to see the animal.
Great video. There is many stories about strange happenings and disappearances in the back country in multiple countries. Some locations have clusters. They are part of a series called Missing 411. Many are never found, if people are found they have no memory of the activities during the disappearance time, many children are found in areas that are impossible to get to. Many are found without shoes and have perfectly clean undamaged feet. My uncle was a interstate truck driver for General Motors. He was once followed by a massive orange orb or ball object on the Nullarbor Plains outback Australia.

This happened a very short time after the 2011 Joplin Missouri massive Tornado so I imagine that is why that couple left. How horrifying to have this attack after their town gets ripped to shreds and losing their son!

Thank you for the great stories. As a van lifer I am hesitant about dispersed or wild "camping" . I mounted solar motion detectoe lights on the side of my van where the sliding door I located. I have camped in remote places in national forests. The lights help when I want to open the sliding door to allow fresh air into the van. However, mounting the lights I opened the door once to only have a huge bear sniffing through my camp site. I had barbecued steaks, potatoes and ears of corn earlier. Another incident involved a skunk. So, the lights will remain and I will mount more on the other side and one in front, one in the rear of the van.
Too many people have seen and experienced Big Foot for it not to be true. Your last short by Paul Freeman Ep. 3 had a very good picture of a creature walking in the forest. I'm with you and the way you, Chris, are thinking. Thanks for your stories. 😊
Yes. We've been experiencing them for a year and a half since we bought this property. I don't think this tribe means any harm but it's scary having homeless people, or whatever they are, roaming around at night while you're sleeping...I don't care who they are. We've heard it all, whistling, whooping, wooing, screaming, banging, "ninja" talk, throwing pebbles and acorns, tree knocks...a couple of nights ago, on the side of the house...all of it. I wish they just would go away. It's creepy knowing they're watching. I sent our story to Steve Isdahl of The Facts How to Hunt channel here on this platform but it's ongoing and I got sick of sending updates...it is what it is.

It was also good to hear there so many people tell their stories (some clearly BS) but enough real experiences to not feel alone. Thank you for being another person that steps up and admits it. It's validating. If you haven't already you might look at the Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch channel. The guy is a native Alaskan tribal council member and he has many friends and relations that have experienced these creatures. I'd like to hear your experiences as well. 32 years would be a book.

When I lived in Idaho up in the hill there was an accident in 2017 and it involved a hair big foot chasing a deer. It ran out in front of this car on a snowy day. The police verified all the markings. It was on the news local channel.
Love listening to your stories Chris! I also have spent a lot of time exploring the forests alone. Most of the time I am very comfortable and confident. I have had a few weird experiences where I would have my hair stand up or unexplained feelings of uneasiness. I also had an experience about 15 years ago that convinced me that Sasquatch is real. Again, really enjoy hanging out with you and your stories.

Whoa! That was an encounter with some very strong beast creatures! Because you mentioned that there was a dialogue between the creatures, I suspect they were a type of sasquatch. Stay away from their territory, you can travel anywhere, they can not. Respect their power. Had either one of them walked outside, that would have been the end of that couple in the RV. Stay inside and just drive off!! Don't shoot them and don't go out to confront them. They are stronger than you! You're not bad. I will click like. You're easy on the eye and the ear, Base Camp Chris. Carry on, but stay aware and safe, everyone, or you could go missing. Always have awareness of your surroundings out there!

Back in the late 70's, we went to Oregon to visit my sister and on the way back we stopped at Crater Lake. Mom didn't want to stay and wait until morning for the store to open so we started back to San Jose. It was a little after midnight. Mom and my sister were asleep. My daughter was awake sitting in the back seat of the van when we saw something on the side of the road. We didn't know what it was but when it crossed the road behind us, with the tail lights we saw him tall and hairy. He was taller than our 72 Ford van. Thank God he didn't cross in front of us even though we weren't going fast. The shock didn't hit us until later. Imagine if he would have been violent?

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been to Yosemite numerous times. I know a retired Police Officer. He did tell me to not hike off the trails in Yosemite. He said the media will not report the high number of people that disappear in the Yosemite Area.
Wow, that's gotta be one of the scariest encounters of all your stories! I don't think I would ever want to go camping in the middle of a forest! If anything, it would have to be in a camping ground where there's other campers around - but then, one never knows what they are up to... Is there actually a difference between all the different beers that you find, Chris? The cans sure look beautiful, you should collect them.

❤Here’s to Chris❤ One of the bravest people ever seen on the series of tubes. Yosemite has a very high concentration of missing hikers (aka: Gigantopithicus snacks). Outdoorsy types are a kind of deviled egg for Sasquatch.
Which makes you a greasy pancake on the road. Taken by the mysterious cryptid known only as the freeway which kills 1.4 million worldwide per year. As far as this high concentration you are talking about you might want to consider the fact that Yosemite averages 20,000 visitors per DAY. I live an hour from the park and I’ve known about missing people before it was fashionable. Paulides work is very interesting but he doesn’t get everything right by a long shot. I’ve never seen him retract anything. My point is you are more likely to be a pancake than a a deviled egg.
Weird thing to say. I live near Yosemite National Park. I've heard and felt out of the ordinary things. After I transfer from my community college I plan to get into an intern program within the Park soon and yeah it's rather scary because it's no new thing that many go missing and horrible things happen deep inside the woods. Honestly I'm willing to investigate myself what's actually happening within the Sierra if time and fate allows it.

Good story. I met someone who related a similar story but was camping for remote work duties. Upon return her boss asked how it went. He related he had had an encounter in his RV in that area previously! Best 7 minute story told in only 20 min :)

I’m an RV’er and I have my own horror stories out there so I ask this question with all due respect but why didn’t they just drive away and find a safer place to sleep? Who stays in a place they were just accosted at? I have slept in places I did not feel safe at after a strange occurrence but the causes to me were plausible so I did not feel the need to move but if something like that happened to me and my loved ones, I’d just find a new place to sleep. Ask yourself if you would stay after something like this happened to you. I do love these campfire stories tho. I’m following Chris now

The west is so beautiful. I live in New England, which is beautiful this time of year too. But, it's short lived. In a few weeks the clouds roll in with rain then snow won't see it again till January when it becomes bitter cold.

Go out far enough where most don't go and spend some time hiking, driving back trails, or going where most won't go and you may feel eary things, hear sounds, screams, or even get things thrown at you to run you off. I went way out in the mountains where most don't go. I went across a river chest deep where perhaps none have, climbed straight up a mountain and felt something was watching me from the time i left the meadow into the steep tree covered mountains. So steal I had to use trees, roots, branches and grass to go higher. I just kept going though as I could feel something was up there. Eventually I reached the top and it was so wooded and rocky you could hardly see anywhere around. If anything was up there you could be maybe 20 feet apart and not even know. I headed back down and back to camp. Later that night I went to wash my hands in the river and sure enough something was throwing rocks at me from that area across the river where nobody goes. It was very late at night. Normally no person would go out that late in the back woods that far from any towns without a flashlight with no trails and throw rocks at other people. It's likely Sasquatch, or some people who have lived in the woods extremely long and have lives like animals and don't want to be disturbed or found perhaps? there's lots of native stories of sasquatch and perhaps natives themselves would have members leave tribes to go live in the woods alone and be left alone. Growing more hair on the body would be a natural evolution to being cold often at night and in long winters. Perhaps they're just humans that have grown bigger, stronger and more hari to surive the elements for so long?

Do not camp in the “Ghost Canyon” area of Yosemite. My uncle was a park ranger there for many years and he said that some “funny stuff” went on back there. He was an old military man, Vietnam era vet, and he krpt the code of silence on the issue. Never detailing the funny stuff but he was very serious about that.
My family and I, went on a camping trip to Yosemite back in 1983. While we were there, we went through a terrifying experience, when we were accosted by the friendliest bunch of squirrels, Marmots, and birds, who wanted to crawl in our laps, land on our heads, looking for handouts. We proceeded to break out the bread, popcorn, potato chips, and anything else we could find, to entertain all these wonderful animals, thus turning a situation of terror, into a unique and totally pleasurable experience. It was awesome, and we’ll never forget it.

There really is no point in lying about it. My husband and I stopped telling our stories years ago cuz people just don't believe, or even if they go along with it, that look in their eyes gives it away. It's nice to find a place online where a neat person like you can tell other people's stories, and those of us who have them can feel a little more valid lol.
I've never saw one but I believe. I work at a state park and there have been sightings here. In fact there was a crew came and filmed and got the story. I've heard people come here and search for Bigfoot. I pray I never see one. I think I would panic. Well anyway you know what u saw so if people don't believe you that's their problem.lol

Hey, it’s a big, wild planet out there and it’d be hubris to think us humans are the only type of our species here. I hope who or whatever they are that they continue to find a way to survive. You know, I grew up running round in a cab over RV with my family, we were always out and about on weekends and took trips whenever we could. We had some mighty strange things happen to us too. Some of it could have been caused by humans, but having things thrown at the camper, or having it rocked from side to side when there’s no wind and your out in the middle of nowhere, is super strange. My dad was a big ol’ Marine, and he would not tangle with it, and did not want to talk about it. We would look at each other and just stay quiet. Odd things would also happen to us in the areas around Fort Bragg, Russian River, and Cloverdale, before they were built up - gold areas. I remember that one day we woke up and as usual my brother and I got up early to run around outside and something had left small fish in a straight line along our back bumper. The thing is that this back bumper had an end that opened so that you could store your fishing poles in it. It’s as though something knew what we wanted and tried to give it to us.

If You haven't written alot before You can start it as a childrens story to get the body of the story out then tweak it into a longer more mature intricate form from there. This has been My personal trick in writing and it works like a gem. 💎

This is one of the reasons why I stick with 5th wheel RVs. The height of the bedroom prevents an average height person from casually looking into your bedroom. In this case though, it probably wouldn't have mattered because of this creature's height. This is also why I'm always well armed when I'm RVing.

I randomly picked your story so I could listen to it while I drove down highway 44 west through Central Missouri and just about the same time you said Ken and Judy were from Joplin, I passed a road sign that read Joplin 228 miles. This happened a long time ago to my husband and me and our few children that we had at the time in the '70s.
We had rented a rustic cabin in the Poconos. I think it was there, as we were from New York and we knew that we could find beautiful places in Pennsylvania for vacationing if one wanted to just rough it.
So we rented it for a weekend or whatever. Maybe more days, and the kids were between the ages of 5 snd 7 years old.
This place had a nice pond with chairs as well, set up, and I remember the dragonflies would light on you with pretty multi-colored wings, and it was just very peaceful and pleasant, which I think everybody NEEDS from time to time for sure.
Also if I remember, one could do some fishing, which my husband absolutely loved to do
The first couple of nights were fine and totally normal.
We thoroughly enjoyed the serene beauty of the forest around us and the lovely lake, though.
About the third night though we had just locked the screen door leaving the main door open, because it was rather warm out and we wanted to get a breeze in the place.
Well we left the next day...
Thank GOODNESS the lock was ON the screen because around IN the dead of night someone pulled the screen twice making it really loud and I'm glad that they lock HELD!!
I remember I was just FROZEN in fear. I couldn't even move. Of course we didn't sleep the rest of the night and I think my husband had the courage finally to go over and just slam the front door shut and lock it.
As I said we left the next day and we told the proprietor what had happened. I didn't go into the office, that was a decent distance away from the cabins.
I assume they gave my husband a refund.
But we have no idea what it WAS, and we may never know what it was.
And I just hate to think of the screen door not holding with the lock.
Who knows WHAT was on the other side of that screen.
Of course with our minds we try to rationalize everything, and I thought maybe it could have been the proprietor of the place checking the cabins in the night (?) and he noticed that we just had the screen door open only, and maybe he was going to open it and close the main door quietly just to keep us safer for whatever reason.(?) But I doubt that THAT'S what it was really.
I think when the screen door was pulled it made this banging sound really loud waking us up, and whoever was on the other side might have thought maybe they have guns or something, and I better run for my life because now I know that they are probably AWAKE.
There's been too many cases. I think of people seeing these creatures called Bigfoot, and NOW we have these ones reported that look like a large wolf with long fangs and yellow eyes.
I just pray for everyone's SAFETY.
I know how scared out of our minds we were that night when this happened, and I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else, Especially with young children.
We've never had anything happen again, and this was so long ago, and I'm not that far from 80 now... and my husband's passed away 10 years.
But life goes on and it's interesting that now I live in the Poconos with my lovely daughter, and we've been here going on 5 years. It's absolutely beautiful and very peaceful
The only occurrences that cause any kind of caution are when the bears come around and we have to take the bird feeders in at night.
Beyond that, just nothing. So I'm so very, very grateful that we've been safe.
It doesn't hurt to have the three dogs we own either!😇👌
Remember, humans are the most dangerous animal we have to fear. Knowing homes/vacation rentals in a mountain area, a serial killer will stalk humans like animals, silently, with deadly intent until they make an attempt. Always be aware when you vacation anywhere. We want to get away, have fun , relax, but be aware. Don’t ever leave doors unlocked! Sad but true. When you’ve had sisters badly harmed by an unseen male predator you never feel completely safe again, and remain very aware that this happens more than we know but never expect it will happen to you!
BE ARMED WHEN TRAVELING. Many have gone missing in the Strawberry/Dardanelles area of hwy108 in Tuolomne County California. Campers and travelers, with their belongings left behind! Just miles due west from here on hwy108 is the small town of Sonora you must pass thru as you travel east. Serial killer Charles Ng and Leonard Lake kept a torture house of horror here killing dozens! Serial killer Carrie Stayner hunted and killed just south of here in Groveland on hwy132/120 and possibly in Yosemite National Park! Serial killer Loren Herzog and Wesley Shermantine killed 72 women and buried them on his father’s ranch north of hwy108 on hwy104 in Calaveras County California! PLEASE, remember STRANGER DANGER when traveling, especially in isolated rural foothills and mountains!!

That’s because some people are afraid to believe.
Never encountered one, even in passing. But my grandfather did, twice... and he was not one to "tell tall tales". He was a trucker all his life, and a good portion of it was driving logging trucks up and down the dirt trails to logging camps to pick up the harvests, which is where he saw "sasquatch" or whatever one wants to call it. His rig was too big for them to mess with, and he was too interested in just getting away and on with his job to mess with them, so they were both fleeting encounters... but given his nature and personality, well, I have little choice but to believe him.
A friend and I were tent camping in Rocky Mountain National park in August of 2015. At breakfast I told my friend I heard something bumping into stuff during the night. He acted like I was hallucinating or crazy. After breakfast, a park ranger drove up and said we had to leave, there was a grizzly in the campground. I lived in an area with black bears, but grizzlies are a different bear. Last time I was in Yosemite Hertz didn't have the sub-compact I reserved and "upgraded " us to a full size Dodge Polaris. It looked so much like a cop car other cops would wave at us and the gate guards at Yosemite mistook us for a state vehicle and let us into Yosemite without paying. I retired to Thailand, we have wild elephants, forget about bears!
I discovered this channel a month or two ago, and LOVE it. Not that it has anything to do with what I'm about to say. I am an old guy now. I'm sixty five and just retired Friday, officially anyhow. I won't get long winded. I have always loved the outdoors but never had the gumption or courage of Chris here, but I was blessed to have two friends - brothers - who grew up on my street as a kid who were avid outdoors guys due to their Father being from Greece, first generation and a real man's man, and they had property in the Allegheny Forrest and Park area in Southern New York State. We spend many a weekend and several single weeks in their secluded cabin area within the park for years growing up. Long story short, THEY were the woodsmen and I was the tag along, but in 1977 I and the two brothers who were one and two years, respectively, younger than me, took a bus trip across country to visit Yellowstone in Wyoming and Montana and then Glacier National Park in Northern Montana. Really old school way of traveling and with literally fifty dollars in my pocket. Yep, old. We were gone about a month and a half, and we hitchhiked hundreds of miles and backpacked MOST of the time in the back country. We had no firearm. Nothing. We encountered a bear one night (thankfully a black bear) and once or twice a group of "questionable people" who were of concern to us but nothing came of it. Keep in mind, we were in a few instances in situations where we didn't really see people for days at a time, and we were OUT there before cell phones or anything, and if something did arise you were miles and miles from any help. The point I'm trying to make is, these days, and even fifteen years or twenty years ago and farther out, I'd NEVER go out to a similar place without a firearm or two, at least. At LEAST. I live in Cleveland and it's very dangerous and we have constitutional carry now, thank the Lord, but even without I have my CC and don't go anywhere without any type of protection and I don't think that's an overreach at all, especially if you're dozens or more miles away from help or assistance. So, forgive the long post; regulations or not, always bring a firearm of suitable caliber to your camping destination and frankly, I'm surprised these people had nothing with them for protection. Kind of foolhardy in my estimation.
@dyates6380-I totally agree! I too RV in remote places, boondock camping & alone. But never w/out plenty of guns. Fortunately I've never had anything happen, but I'd feel like fighting back in a case like this one. Seems like a lot more weird stuff is going on now than years ago. Stay safe!

I had an RV for a few years after I retired and would never have stayed parked somewhere that I felt uncomfortable. I was traveling HWY 20 to Idaho across Eastern Oregon in a very remote area. It was late at night and I came across a remote rest area in the high desert in the middle of nowhere. I was the only one parked there, and there were a few lights on, but not too bright. About an hour after I laid down pebbles started bouncing off the RV a few at a time. So I got up and looked out and didn't see any other vehicles and it's all very flat, high desert out there. I then went out and looked around and saw nothing anywhere. So I went back in an was going to lay back down and small pebbles bounced off my vehicle again. Not one to hang out, with high strangeness going on, I jumped in the RV seat and drove on down the road. I knew there was another, more developed and used, rest stop closer to Ontario, OR, about an hour away, so drove there and spent the rest of the night there. I worked and lived in Yosemite for a few years and also lived a few in Oakhurst, CA in the heart of the Sierra National forest, a really spectacular National Forest. Never had anything weird happen while living and exploring both places.
We drove through that hwy 20 area and stopped at a potty last Sept. It was already cold, and nobody was around. I could see it being a bit creepy! The rest stop also had an old useable water pump. Pretty cool! I've also lived in Oakhurst, Yosemite, and Mariposa. I can imagine that these people might have encountered a bear, using their r.v. as a scratching post. Not only are they big, hairy, and grumpy, but they can also be vocal, sounding kind of like a cranky deep voiced man, lol.

You tell the BEST stories! The way you tell them is just as good as the stories themselves. My Grandpa told good stories to I miss him. He built an off grid cabin in Nelson County VA. Land locked with the George Washington National forest and within walking distance with the Appalachian trail. I'm 49 years old been in the mountains all my life. I'm a logger / truck driver and I stay out for about 2 weeks at a time so I sleep in the woods etc. I've seen and heard things from time to time myself. Nobody is in the woods more than me. The same thing happen to a guy that my dad knows , he goes to my dads church. .it happen in the sierra by West Point ca . His trailer got lifted up a couple feet and drop by back down while he was sleeping around 3 am waiting for the next day hunt. He got out of the trailer and fire couple rounds in the air sending whatever it was scattering. He wasn’t scare and still slept through the night . Next morning he left early morning while it was still pitch black to get a head start up the logging trail. He said as he was only couple hundred feet away from his trailer whatever lifted his trailer that night was standing behind a tree growling , barking and howling at him … it was also throwing rocks and tree Limbs at him .. he got spook, and aim his rifle at it not firing and slowly back away . He then took off running back to his trailer and went home …

I'm from Alberta as well. Back in the mid 70's my younger brother swears he saw a sasquatch, during a winter storm, when they were coming back from Nordegg. My brother isn't the type to make up stories so I tend to believe there is such a thing.
We live in the Pac NW and my oldest son camps ALOT. One of his trips, he was off trail, camping with his GF, sitting by the waters edge, and across the river they started hearing wood knocks and grunts. After dusk had passed, and dark started to really settle in, rocks started to fly across the river to my sons campsite. Easily 30-40 ft. Makes no sense! They scramble into the tent and my son fired off his small caliber rifle a few times and everything went still.
They sat up till quite late, finally fell asleep. And about 3am the same nonsense starts, wood knocks, rocks flying across the river, hoots……again my son fires off his rifle and yells. Silence.
Nothing more that night. The next morning as soon as it got light they packed up and beat feet!
You never know Chris, someday you may be telling us a story and a bigfoot will come sit down beside you to listen!! Lol.

They were experiencing a Sasquatch and they can feel your fear. They talk to you telepathy and in your dreams. I used to live with 9 in Ohio backwoods cabin and they got so bad that I sold my cabin. They won't hurt you unless you are shooting at them. I know alot about Sasquatch or Bigfoot

That's not aggression. They were playing around like kids also probably smelled kitchen activity. Something strong enough to pick up an RV isn't gonna be stopped by that paper thin aluminum RV skin.

I ended up in California in the spring of 2022, I will save the back story for time.
However, I find myself on a 80 acre old Chinese hemp farm in a valley called Lucerne Valley in San Bernardino county.
This property was loaded with huge, half wind eaten, broken down green houses. There were lots of campers, trailers and rv's on property also. This was my reason for being there. I got a hook up to stay at this place for free, while I figure things out.
Apart from myself, there was only one person who was doing security, since there were still some valuable equipments there. I got a nice 40ft. Cold storage trailer, customized to a 2 bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. Quite comfortable. I found myself two beautiful stray puppies shortly after I got there. About 3 months after I got there, I went in the end of May, and 3 months later in August, my pups grow really fast, but they were still only about 4 months old, and for some reason they didn't bark and they were really scared of everything. If a Ravin flys too close or another stray dog wonders on the property, they would run straight to my feet and try to hide between them. But most of all, they fear the sounds of coyotes.At this time, they sleeping indoors and I would keep the door unlocked so they could open it up with their paws and go to do their business outside. But after a few petty thefts on the property, I didn't feel so secure anymore, so I locked the door. Next morning, I didn't like what I saw on the floor, so the following night I let them sleep outside. I must let you know, they sleep outside all the time, since it was high summer, and outside was often cooler at night than inside, they like to hang out on the steps, but they always have the option to come inside when they want, as long as the door is unlocked. But now that I locked it, they were not happy. I also want them to be brave dogs, and I think that if they stayed outside, that would help, it didn't.
I am not the guy who gets scared of nothing. I am not big, I am not bad, never served, not a fighter, never been to jail, not religious and don't believe in crypto-zoology, but love the stories. I am , however, very cautious of people and try to stay away from most people. As for the wild and wildlife, I am totally at peace and have no fear. when the coyotes howl at nights, if it's close, I grabbed my night light and go investigate. If I hear owls, I want to see them.
My dogs, if they could talk, would beg me please not to go, I could tell in their behavior, but they would faithfully follow me despite them being scared, I was so funny to me.
However, one night, they were outside, the door was locked when they started frantically trying to break the door open! I could hear sounds coming from one of the green houses that was near to my trailer.
Is sounds like some animal was in big trouble. Almost like a wolf getting caught in a snare, like I saw on some TH-cam videos. I could hear ripping and clawing and grunting and panting, but whatever it was it definitely sounds like a dog getting caught in something. I grabbed my light and machete and open the door, my dogs flew past my foot, right behind the sofa. I went out and shine the light at the green house, the sound stopped. I went to the door and sweep the light inside, looking for eyeshlne, nothing. My puppies joined now, shaking like Scooby Doo. I stepped inside and search every inch of that greenhouse and find nothing!
I said whatever it was, it must have left. The thing is, not even 10 minutes after I went back in, the sound came back again! Even when I stand at my door and look over at the green house, I could see it shaking as if being torn apart. But if I shine the light or went too close, the sounds stopped. I didn't figure out what it was and is now my biggest mystery. I didn't feel afraid or felt like my life was in danger, but I am very disappointed that I didn't get to see the animal.

Great video. There is many stories about strange happenings and disappearances in the back country in multiple countries. Some locations have clusters. They are part of a series called Missing 411. Many are never found, if people are found they have no memory of the activities during the disappearance time, many children are found in areas that are impossible to get to. Many are found without shoes and have perfectly clean undamaged feet. My uncle was a interstate truck driver for General Motors. He was once followed by a massive orange orb or ball object on the Nullarbor Plains outback Australia.
Yup UFOs have some role in people abduction for sure. Here in Alaska some 2,000 go missing every year.

This happened a very short time after the 2011 Joplin Missouri massive Tornado so I imagine that is why that couple left. How horrifying to have this attack after their town gets ripped to shreds and losing their son!

Thank you for the great stories. As a van lifer I am hesitant about dispersed or wild "camping" . I mounted solar motion detectoe lights on the side of my van where the sliding door I located. I have camped in remote places in national forests. The lights help when I want to open the sliding door to allow fresh air into the van. However, mounting the lights I opened the door once to only have a huge bear sniffing through my camp site. I had barbecued steaks, potatoes and ears of corn earlier. Another incident involved a skunk. So, the lights will remain and I will mount more on the other side and one in front, one in the rear of the van.
Too many people have seen and experienced Big Foot for it not to be true. Your last short by Paul Freeman Ep. 3 had a very good picture of a creature walking in the forest. I'm with you and the way you, Chris, are thinking. Thanks for your stories. 😊
Yes. We've been experiencing them for a year and a half since we bought this property. I don't think this tribe means any harm but it's scary having homeless people, or whatever they are, roaming around at night while you're sleeping...I don't care who they are. We've heard it all, whistling, whooping, wooing, screaming, banging, "ninja" talk, throwing pebbles and acorns, tree knocks...a couple of nights ago, on the side of the house...all of it. I wish they just would go away. It's creepy knowing they're watching. I sent our story to Steve Isdahl of The Facts How to Hunt channel here on this platform but it's ongoing and I got sick of sending updates...it is what it is.

They will throw basketball sized rocks into the water splashing me. Just have to give it right back to them. I run at and yell at them while same time firing off rounds into the treeline. They tend to leave me alone for a few weeks after.
When I lived in Idaho up in the hill there was an accident in 2017 and it involved a hair big foot chasing a deer. It ran out in front of this car on a snowy day. The police verified all the markings. It was on the news local channel.
Love listening to your stories Chris! I also have spent a lot of time exploring the forests alone. Most of the time I am very comfortable and confident. I have had a few weird experiences where I would have my hair stand up or unexplained feelings of uneasiness. I also had an experience about 15 years ago that convinced me that Sasquatch is real. Again, really enjoy hanging out with you and your stories.

Whoa! That was an encounter with some very strong beast creatures! Because you mentioned that there was a dialogue between the creatures, I suspect they were a type of sasquatch. Stay away from their territory, you can travel anywhere, they can not. Respect their power. Had either one of them walked outside, that would have been the end of that couple in the RV. Stay inside and just drive off!! Don't shoot them and don't go out to confront them. They are stronger than you! You're not bad. I will click like. You're easy on the eye and the ear, Base Camp Chris. Carry on, but stay aware and safe, everyone, or you could go missing. Always have awareness of your surroundings out there!

Back in the late 70's, we went to Oregon to visit my sister and on the way back we stopped at Crater Lake. Mom didn't want to stay and wait until morning for the store to open so we started back to San Jose. It was a little after midnight. Mom and my sister were asleep. My daughter was awake sitting in the back seat of the van when we saw something on the side of the road. We didn't know what it was but when it crossed the road behind us, with the tail lights we saw him tall and hairy. He was taller than our 72 Ford van. Thank God he didn't cross in front of us even though we weren't going fast. The shock didn't hit us until later. Imagine if he would have been violent?

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been to Yosemite numerous times. I know a retired Police Officer. He did tell me to not hike off the trails in Yosemite. He said the media will not report the high number of people that disappear in the Yosemite Area.
Wow, that's gotta be one of the scariest encounters of all your stories! I don't think I would ever want to go camping in the middle of a forest! If anything, it would have to be in a camping ground where there's other campers around - but then, one never knows what they are up to...

I have no doubt about that too! One hears so many stories, both good and bad, but I have no doubt that Squatches like to eat people.
Which makes you a greasy pancake on the road. Taken by the mysterious cryptid known only as the freeway which kills 1.4 million worldwide per year. As far as this high concentration you are talking about you might want to consider the fact that Yosemite averages 20,000 visitors per DAY. I live an hour from the park and I’ve known about missing people before it was fashionable. Paulides work is very interesting but he doesn’t get everything right by a long shot. I’ve never seen him retract anything. My point is you are more likely to be a pancake than a a deviled egg.

Weird thing to say. I live near Yosemite National Park. I've heard and felt out of the ordinary things. After I transfer from my community college I plan to get into an intern program within the Park soon and yeah it's rather scary because it's no new thing that many go missing and horrible things happen deep inside the woods. Honestly I'm willing to investigate myself what's actually happening within the Sierra if time and fate allows it.

Good story. I met someone who related a similar story but was camping for remote work duties. Upon return her boss asked how it went. He related he had had an encounter in his RV in that area previously! Best 7 minute story told in only 20 min :)

I love to camp. Wish I had a camper. I am 70. Hard to get around no one to go with. I am going to sell all my stuff at a yard sale since I am not using it. When my husband was alive we went quite a bit. I am a new subscriber.

I’m an RV’er and I have my own horror stories out there so I ask this question with all due respect but why didn’t they just drive away and find a safer place to sleep? Who stays in a place they were just accosted at? I have slept in places I did not feel safe at after a strange occurrence but the causes to me were plausible so I did not feel the need to move but if something like that happened to me and my loved ones, I’d just find a new place to sleep. Ask yourself if you would stay after something like this happened to you. I do love these campfire stories tho. I’m following Chris now

The west is so beautiful. I live in New England, which is beautiful this time of year too. But, it's short lived. In a few weeks the clouds roll in with rain then snow won't see it again till January when it becomes bitter cold.

Go out far enough where most don't go and spend some time hiking, driving back trails, or going where most won't go and you may feel eary things, hear sounds, screams, or even get things thrown at you to run you off. I went way out in the mountains where most don't go. I went across a river chest deep where perhaps none have, climbed straight up a mountain and felt something was watching me from the time i left the meadow into the steep tree covered mountains. So steal I had to use trees, roots, branches and grass to go higher. I just kept going though as I could feel something was up there. Eventually I reached the top and it was so wooded and rocky you could hardly see anywhere around. If anything was up there you could be maybe 20 feet apart and not even know. I headed back down and back to camp. Later that night I went to wash my hands in the river and sure enough something was throwing rocks at me from that area across the river where nobody goes. It was very late at night. Normally no person would go out that late in the back woods that far from any towns without a flashlight with no trails and throw rocks at other people. It's likely Sasquatch, or some people who have lived in the woods extremely long and have lives like animals and don't want to be disturbed or found perhaps? there's lots of native stories of sasquatch and perhaps natives themselves would have members leave tribes to go live in the woods alone and be left alone. Growing more hair on the body would be a natural evolution to being cold often at night and in long winters. Perhaps they're just humans that have grown bigger, stronger and more hari to surive the elements for so long?

Well brian this sure sounds like a bigfoot critter to me. I live in Alaska and them bastards harass me on event. I work a few hours a week at a remote Dam. They like to throw basketball sized rocks into the water splashing me. Just have to give it right back to them. I run and yell at them while firing off rounds into the treeline. They will not annoy me for a while thereafter , but it always starts back up.

Do not camp in the “Ghost Canyon” area of Yosemite. My uncle was a park ranger there for many years and he said that some “funny stuff” went on back there. He was an old military man, Vietnam era vet, and he krpt the code of silence on the issue. Never detailing the funny stuff but he was very serious about that.

My family and I, went on a camping trip to Yosemite back in 1983. While we were there, we went through a terrifying experience, when we were accosted by the friendliest bunch of squirrels, Marmots, and birds, who wanted to crawl in our laps, land on our heads, looking for handouts. We proceeded to break out the bread, popcorn, potato chips, and anything else we could find, to entertain all these wonderful animals, thus turning a situation of terror, into a unique and totally pleasurable experience. It was awesome, and we’ll never forget it.
Its real enough to make all the stories exciting. Please keep sharing I love them. Its a nice break from ufo stories
