    Hey Cyrus
I’ll be competing in my 1st NRL22 this Sunday & your videos are going to give me the confidence to maintain my focus & stay relaxed.😎
The X-Wing has 3 different connection types what is yours & why did you choose it (advantages/disadvantages)?
    Thanks Bob

Best of luck! Don't forget to have fun! Don't worry about getting all the shots off by rushing the stage, just try your best to build stable positions. Keep the magnification low (~12x) to make target acquisition easier. Speed will come with time and practice. Let me know how it goes!
My X-Wing bag has the QD swivel mount. Since I have QD mounts on the rear of my chassis I can attach it there so that it moves with the rifle. In practice, however, I don't think I've ever used that feature as having it attached to the rifle can limit where you can place the bag. Save yourself $10 and just get the basic loop option unless you can think of a specific use case for attaching it to the rifle. Like I mentioned, I don't think I've ever felt that having it attached would be an advantage.

As a professional photographer we always set up the tripod with one leg pointing directly at the subject. Have you found that to be an advantage when using a tripod as a rifle rest?

I'm also a pretty avid photographer so I know what you mean. In the shooting sports you'll often find the opposite. If you are clipped into the tripod like many hunters do, you might find it advantageous to have one leg pointed directly backwards. This is because the recoil impulse is straight backwards (especially important in larger caliber rifles) and the rifle will not jump as much after the shot. Here we're using 22LR with mild to no recoil so it's not really a big deal either way.
