Nir bitton is one of the most underrated players we have had for a long time. Never really puts a foot wrong and is now good enough at CB aswell as CDM.

Smart player tactically with good first touch. Good technical player who always seems composed. I think too he is versatile and underrated.
Absolutely. He was great against sevco. Like one of the boys said a couple weeks ago, if he was a brand new signing we'd be saying this boy looks a solid, cultured cb.
I think you are right - I just feel on occasions he tries to be too smart with passes and puts us into danger but that aside, he is turning into a great player for us.
Moravcik 25 there were time yesterday when they were putting in the pressure when he just took a couple of touches, and played the good pass forward. So calm on the ball

Happily hold my hands up about Boli. Was worried about him v tavernier but he was brilliant. As was the rest of the defence
This was the perfect game (ironically of all games) to give him some breathing room, with them seemingly holding off a strong press. So glad to see the support giving him a boost and him getting the chance he deserves!
stephen kelly we are definitely better than them. But we just never turned up at ibrox last year, that was my worry.

nir bitton has been unreal this season, him and jullien were excellent all afternoon yet again, i was impressed with bauer when he came on but no way is he getting into the team with elhammed playing the way he is, what a singing so far, boli was great also yet again 3 games in a row, ntcham completely bossed the game when he came on and got us the winner. special mention to scott brown he proved the critics wrong and bossed the game. HH
Lennon's tactics reminded me of the Martin O'Neil days, soaking up pressure then hitting them on the break by being more direct. With a bit better decision making in front of goal we could have won by four or five goals in the end.
Looking back other teams had already sussed out the Rodgers's style and began to press us more so a change of tactics was overdue anyway and Rodgers was unlikely to change it as he seemed to know only one style of play. ... his own.
Lennon got the tactics spot on yesterday ... Rangers never really threatened ... so credit where credit is very much due!
Superb win, back four and midfield committed and disciplined, Edouard just oozes class 🍀 have to give Lennon credit, this time tactics and game management first class
Madden was a good ref today. He let the game flow. Didnt hand out unnecessary yellow cards
personally thought he was terrible, defo let a few go, mcgregor shoulda been booked twice in the first half for tackle + dive but not complaining 😂😂
Disagree. thought the challenge on bolongoli was a clear red card. Shocking tackle - high late studs showing connecting with a player on the ground.
@@pato2200 it could have been a straight red, but Calmc could easily have had 2 yellows, the late challenge and the dive. So I suppose even tho the game flowed, Madden didn't do his job.

I think the kick into the rangers corner for kickoff is a brilliant tactic especially at ibrox it let us push up the park straight away and put the pressure on
Chris From Scotland It’s what every fan knew we had to do and Lennon finally understands as well. Teams are starting to play them like they play us - 10 men behind the ball and giving them all the time in the world to pass it about. They aren’t used to being pressured and we pressured them non stop. They don’t have the quality to make the right passes or cut through us so all we need to do is be up for it and it’s ours. If we play well, we win. Nothing they can do about it.
Not sure many folk have noticed this yet but two of the best Celtic players at Ibrox were the two cheapest......Bitton and Elhamed.

Tactics so good, we learned from last season and did not let them settle right from the off and set the tone for the rest of the game. Lenny has taken a lot of stick lately & I’ll admit I was worried going to Ibrox, but all the questions were answered. Scott Brown is not over the hill yet, Bolingoli was solid, Julien was excellent, Edouard showed why he’s potentially World class & Morelos isn’t, Lenny outfoxed Gerrard completely & finally..The Rangers hype was unfounded, their supporters talked the talk, but the team went missing when it mattered...🍀🍀🍀🍀👍

Neil Lennon had a great game. Tactically, preparation and substitutions were night and day. I hope it's a case of "you can teach an old dog new tricks", because if so if he can improve the way he has this quickly, we'll be gettin' 10 under him. Still a bit worried, but he's definitely on his way. Very happy with the result.
Great team performance, thought Forrest was quiet but in general was a very good performance, thought Jullien and Elhamed were absolutely solid, Boli had a good performance as well. Really expected Rangers to come out and take the game to us but it was completely the opposite.
A well deserved victory and never in doubt imho. The hype created for the benefit of sevco by the SMSM was once again proved wrong. 9 in a row almost guaranteed 🍀🍀

brown was instrumental and exactly what we missed last 2 visits to ibroke. Lennon got his tactics spot on and the subs right. Man of Match the day for me was julien he was a colossus today. i think defoe is still in bittons pocket as well. Elhamed is gonna be a baller for us. 8 out of 10 for start of season only let down being the half v cluj and the lack of urgency in transfers as we should be building a team for champions league well before the qualifiers take place not still building it on deadline day. Looking forward to the season ahead. Should do a post deadline transfer video. Cheers for the content bhoys.

We were great and credit to the players and staff. Bitton imo has done enough to warrant being considered as a reliable cb at this point. He was excellent until his injury and has been consistent when called apon.

Rangers looked absolutely terrible and they shat it, have to say I didn't expect that at all and bought into all the talk. Lennon and the team deserve all the plaudits and was happy to see Hayes score, always ready to go when called upon. Hopefully we can have a good run in Europe now, we're playing well away from home and defence looking solid. Hatem is a ruthless big fucker.
Great points on the back four - this really was a trial by fire and all of them passed: Elhamed, Jullien, Bitton, Boli, and Bauer. I completely understand Jullien as a MOTM pick for some as his performance was phenomenal. For me, though, it's easily Elhamed. He was asked to go above and beyond for the club in different positions and easily filled that requirement. Potentially also playing through injury, too. Complete steal as far as I'm concerned -- best bit of business this summer.

@@livejacker I get some of the critiques about defensive lapses, but it's been way over the top -- no doubt assisted by the media and Sevco supporters that would see us lose any and everything possible. Boli's still settling in, and figuring out our style of play and how he fits in. I agree that he's been treated unfairly and have always praised his qualities of pressing forward. He will only get better IMO. Glad he's with us, potentially with a backup coming in... :)
If we get Greg Taylor in then would say with the injuries at centre back then we would need another one in along with a defensive midfielder.

amazing game today couldnt say a bad word about any of the players all the new signing played great and did their job , looked a little slower near the end of of the second half but the subs were perfect timing and also did great. for signings , I wanted an experienced left winger to rotate with mikey and we got Elyounoussi who i cant wait to see , we need a lb to rotate with boli (great game today) and wanted a cm to be in place for brown who should be getting some rotation too but we have the young boy connell and ntcham who can come on sooooooooooooo yeah just a lb and id be happy if thats all that gets done xD HH
