I have been wanting to visit Peru ever since I was 10 years old and I am so thrilled to finally check it off my bucket list!
During this trip, I faced a big challenge: hiking the Inca trail between elevations of 9,000 - 14,000 ft. with a fever and sinus infection. Unfortunately, I was sick the entire duration of the hike. There were many times I wanted to quit or turn back, but luckily with the support from my husband and our hiking group I powered through and made it to Machu Picchu.
It was an incredible journey and one I will never forget!
