Very interesting. I just went through exactly the same process. I had putted with a Cameron Studio 1.5 blade style putter for the last 20 years. I don’t consider myself a bad putter of the ball. Was just looking for more forgiveness as I have aged. I really liked the SC Phantom 11 or 11.5 sight lines but don’t like the goose neck at all. That is all the 11 series is offered in. I settled on the 9.5 in 35”. Love the double lines. Super easy to align. Changed to an oversized grip to calm my hands a bit. What a difference! I used it in a 9 hole league for the first time and had 13 putts. Wow! I am a strong believer in finding a sight line that fits and that mallets are a big advantage for me at least. Much easier to get the ball rolling on the intended line IMHO.
Putter fitters make stuff up just to make it sound like they have some great influence on your game. Can you sight your line, is the weight good for you, does the grip allow you to move the club smoothly, you have what you need. The idea that toe hang magically moves your hands to open the face more or less is hilarious.
Pros get putter fit too. Ask Rory how hilarious it is to miss a putt for a chance at a major. It might be about time he goes last resort with a LAB putter would zero toe hang, zero face balance.
Scotty Cameron and LAB putters are stupid expensive at $500+. Check out the line of Cleveland putters! I have never putted better in my life and the putters cost $149!
I have to use a black putter. Sun glare is a problem for me on silver putters. I use a Rossa Kia Ma Imola 8. Tried others I always go back to the old TM
Micheal that was absolutely amazing video ..a putter is use 36 times in a round so it has to work..always wonder why I miss to the left. Could be not the right putter for me .. love a mallet the fang putter center cut are what I am looking at but maybe I need a goose style one ..thanks buddy!
Micheal you are very lucky to be fitted with ..scotty.. the average guyor lady cant.. we are buying off the rack of what they have.. plus the cost of Scotty is about 700 plus taxs..
I have tried the mallet putter and I hated it. I'm a blade putter and I make putts with that type. Great video though. I have a friend who needs to see this. 😁

You need to pay attention to ball position. It's not the putter sweetie. 🤗
A toe weighted putter might be just what you need too avoid the pulls
What about longer putters that rest against forearm ?
I just got a phantom 5. It suits my stroke, the sight line is ok but still getting used to the face
I was fit for a putter at 34” but didn’t like it so switched to 35”. Did I seriously mess up my club champ fitting?
So, which more easy? Phantom 9 or Phantom 9.5?
I’m trying to decide between a 34 or a 35 inch 9 1/2 Putter. Does anyone know how tall Michael Breed is?

Well I’m here because I had 10 birdie putts yesterday and not one dropped lol
