My grandfather is Jim Bulleit and he started Bullet records which became Sun records. He was the first to sign BB King and to this day my parents own the rights to some of his music. My grandpa has a bust in the hall of fame. He was also the announcer at the Grand O.O. for years. When I was a kid my grandpa always had country stars at their house, old stars like Minnie Pearl(Sarah Cannon) and granpa Jones. I had the honor of meeting Johnny and June when I was 9 years old. I wish I was old enough to realize who I was meeting. very cool to see this museum. I havent been there since the induction of grandpa. I also found there is a very dark side to the music business and Grandpa was not excluded. scary stuff

Emmylou Harris was Miss Woodbridge 1967, where I grew up. The Hee-Haw exhibit is a snapshot into my childhood! All the Gram Parson stuff makes me happy. He was overlooked for years, but thankfully Ms. Harris always sang his praises and beat the drum for his legacy. Chris Hillman needs to be recognized also, considering it was the Byrds that first made "country rock" or "Cosmic Cowboy". Then went on to form the Desert Rose Band, in addition to playing bluegrass with Vern Gosden, and he was the one who found Emmylou Harris and told Gram about her.

I love that you pay homage to all these wonderful country musicians! I grew up listening to old country music . In the 70’s through just 2 years ago my dad was lead singer & guitarist in a band, that played all the oldies (Johnny Cash, Waylon, Willie, Hank, etc) (Dad was in his band, until he had a stroke, which his love of guitar playing is helping him gain back the use of his hand - great power in music!) you are keeping these wonderful musicians alive, so thank you 😊

Sometime when you’re in Texas, maybe you could visit the Bob Wills Museum in Turkey Texas. Often associated strictly with country, Wills and his Texas Playboys recorded some of the hottest hillbilly jazz, blues, pop and big band music in the 1930s and ‘40s before becoming much more country in the ‘50s. My favorite Wills material will always be the jazz they produced in the ‘30s in Dallas and Tulsa, sounding like early Count Basie or Bennie Moten with fiddles and guitars. Incredible stuff…

Heeyyy Jordan!! Great vlog today... I was pleasantly surprised to see so many items from Gram Parsons life so so exciting!! I just thought those items were gone for ever... his Nudie suit was a wonderful sight to see. (I had to pause and just take it in.) Oh wow more Elvis stuff such a great surprise!! Oh I just wanted to see some of Hank’s more fancy suits!! Hope they show up some place. It’s kinda strange to see Shel Silverstein in that photo, right?? Great, great vlog today, thanks for taking us along, can’t wait for future vlogs. One can only hope!! Take care... 🌺🌸🌹🌼🦋🌻🌻🤠

Jody Payne and Sammi Smith had a son named Waylon Payne. He played Jerry Lee Lewis in Walk The Line and he to is a singer. Also Sammi Smith has been married to Marty Stewart for a long time but he was once Johnny Cash son-in-law. My favorite kind of classic country The Outlaws of Country Music. Just another great vlog Jordan. One last thing Willie starred in a movie called Red Headed Stranger that is a freaking awesome movie and Waylon is just amazing.

Thanks for this. Cool story about that Ferrington guitar of Johnny Cash: That guitar is how the great Marty Stuart met Johnny. Young Marty was in Danny Ferrington's shop when he was making that guitar. When Marty found out that it was being made for JC, he made Danny promise that he could go with him to Johnny's when it was time to deliver it. So Marty met Johnny, they hit it off, and Marty became Johnny's lead guitarist, married one of Johnny and June's daughters, and later became next door neighbors. They became very famous friends until Johnny's dying day.

The CM Hall of Fame has been on my bucket list “forever”, your Vlog was a great introduction and only renewed my desire to get there soon, I do believe I’m going to have to put it number one on my list of possible vacation stops for my next vacation. We have a lot of great country performers today, just not sure how many of them have what it takes to rise to “Legendary” status like many of those you profiled in the Vlog! Outstanding Job! 🎸
