Great video! Five hundred yards is a serious, serious distance, and judging by the video, the wind was not negligible. I was wondering mate if you would be so kind pls to set up a piece of steel at 400 or 500 yards and fire a few groups? I would very much like to see what the .25 Panthera 700 can do in this regard, and there are no such shots on the Internet. Thanks in advance.
When I practice a shooting groups at these long ranges, but unfortunately are not very impressive. A tiny breeze could knock your slug off by two ore three feet.
@@myairgunrange Dude, I think what you're doing is impressive. Listen to me please. If I can get these results in good conditions with a rifle that costs five times less and only has 35 FPE with a 25 grain slugs, you can do much, much better. th-cam.com/video/pbZtpen5mvc/w-d-xo.html
@@myairgunrangeyes I remember , what happened to your side kick ? I do agree the slug advancement has been great ! Wish more variety in diameter slugs were offered in the larger calibers like the 22 .
Awesome shooting Bill! Wish I had the space to shoot like that. I’ve an M3 just sleeping in the attic 🤣. Keep up these videos. Greetings from across the Atlantic!
Thanks. I just ordered one 22 caliber 600 mm Barrel dual 300 mm bottles. I didn't want to spend that much money but the gun is amazing. What would you expect the shot count would be for 34 grain slugs with this gun? I'm guessing probably at least 80 +
No kidding. It doesn’t surprise me much though. Me and a buddy would alway push our .22s way out further than “Theyre supposed to go”. You cant hit something at 200….300, etc. OH YEAH……. I got into this sport with the Gauntlet and Avenger because of the capabilities of these things then. Watching the 68 Whiskey boys, Dubber, and Shooter 1721….It just keeps advancing and advancing. Awesome, fun sport! Can’t wait till it cools down a bit here.
Amazing. I have a .25 Panthera 600mm and shoot the 49.5 Altaros Smooth BT slugs at 900 fps. I use a BC of 0.21 but have “only” gone out to 300 yards. I can’t set mine up just like yours because it’s shorter plus I shoot PRS and at your power level I wouldn’t get enough shots on a fill for some stages. Thanks and keep up the videos!
Ok I must get this gun. I remember watching a video of guys shooting at 100, 125, and 150 yds I think it was with an M3 in .22 and it was an egg size target at all 3 and the 150 target took the guy like 70 some odd shots to hit and I felt that was not accuracy but probably theory. This gun is REAL accuracy I must get one ……. Great shooting
How to get long range scope mount like yours sir? I’ve been looking for it for long time ,but I couldn’t find it . Any site could you provide me a link or web site I could find it ,please?
Jesus…..can literally see the scope dropping as he adjusted. Little more than Kentucky Windage. So I need to buy a $500 scope base for my $350 scope and my Avenger should be able to dot that thing. 😂🤣
I love to see some precision shooting not just long-range lopping a round out there... more of the shooting at a dime-sized hole at a round circular saw blade to make it through the hole to hit a target at 100 yards or maybe 200 yards whatever you think you can get through a dime-sized hole with some precision
Sir, I have a Panthera, if you want you can watch my videos... I don't think that is a 9 inches balloon at 500 yards. However if you hit him with the first shot at that distance you were very lucky because at 100 yards the shot at the plate was really far from the center... Place a one-meter plate and fire a full magazine. Film the entire session without cuts. It will be more interesting!
Please tell me what power scope you were using at 500 yards and also what is that device that the scope is mounted on top of that you dialed in something to eat just did for the distance?
Hi there, i own a Hatsan At-44 one shot in 6.35mm and i wonder what distance that rifle is ok for, im no millionaire and must use what i have, i have not yet any air for it, since i got all my air rifles used, and they did come whitout pumps and so on, but im thinking of getting a compressor. But ..hmmm is 500 yards realistic for this rifle ? Or do i put 300 yards as a max for it? I know the world record now is with n 30.cal and its 2058 yards i think it is :) best regards from Norway.
@@myairgunrange I have not yet tested it, i did own an fx typhoon in 5.5mm but sold that one since it was old and i could not find any parts for it to build it like i want it, therefor i desided to hold on to the Hatsan in 6.35 since i can get parts for it and make it better :) but like i say, i havent used it yet so i realy dont know what i can expect of it, i can tell you when i have tryed it :)
Since then, I have change regulators re-tuned I’m sorry I don’t actually remember what the exact settings I had but now shooting with the new Huma high-pressure regulator with the same slugs at 1044 ft./s with the heavier hammer
Hey Telly thanks for watching you can verify the distance i’m using a Mill radiant scope at 500 yards one mill is 18 inches. If you look at the video the 500 yard balloon is just barely bigger than a half a mil. The balloon was probably 10 to 11 inches a half a mil at 500 yards is 9 inches

The power and accuracy on some of these PCPs and slugs is a testament of the advancement of this sport !

I started shooting Airguns two years ago it’s not the air rifles is the slugs are getting better.

But the optimizer doesn't have a windage turret but still works great

Between 20 and 22 depending on the weather.
Great Bill, very awesome, like your long range videos. What is the 2 piece mount bellow the cold shot?
Thanks i’m using two risers. I’d have to measure the height but also I had a customize the cold shot a little bit.
