    Hey, I was blown away by the quality of your 'home studio' on the chair with cushions. Really fantastic results. It reminds me that nobody ever needs to blame the quality of their gear - the main thing is having an obsessive interest, and a wish to communicate!

    this blown my mind on how the phone mic really sounds good by just adding some pillows around and a pop filter. i tried to mimic your style by using a comica mic on my iphone and cover myself a thick blanket. i'm really happy on the result. thank you 🙏🏻

    This actually sounds better than my rode pro mic. Plus it’s super loud and clear. Great job

    Thanks, can you still record using the phone's own video app while using these options or do they require you to record separate voice overs?

    I really enjoyed using headset with microphone from Ez Voice because I love singing and playing with the piano and write the lyrics from my tablet.

    Thank you. As a beginner I was hoping for a wireless Lavalier mike for my iPhone 12pm but something with decent quality seems to be beyond my range. The wired Boya BY-M1 looks more in my price range but would require an adapter. Thanks.

    Hey Simon, I am a musician , and a pretty tech savvy one too, but having issues capturing in the moment sound ( and that can mean away from the studio) vocal singing to be precise, id love to hear your thoughts on how best to use my smartphone to capture the best singing quality, its not an easy one as dry singing vocals aren't really enjoyable to listen to. Im fed up of battling with the issues I keep facing and feel that doing everything on a smartphone could be the answer.

    Great informative video. I have been using the Shure MV88 and the later 88+ since their release, excellent audio capture, especially for live music.

    Great channel. Subbed. How do you handle the high pitched whine that comes from the smartphone when recording of your in a dead quiet room? I tested this on my Sony Xperia 5 mark ii and my Samsung s9. The recording picks up a high pitched hiss if there is no other sound to override it.

    Another great video, thank you. I have been trying to record my live music directly to the phone while filming with FiLMic Pro but I have not been successful. I have tried various setups with my audio interface but FiLMic Pro does not recognize when I connect my audio cable. It only detects when a microphone is connected. Or it could be the limitations of my Motorola X4 phone. I'll keep trying.

    I don’t have a sound guy how can still get pro audio on a phone using a shotgun mic and edit it

    • @SiHorrocks
      @SiHorrocks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      not easy unless you have a friend to hold the boom. Otherwise use a wireless lavalier, as I use in the video

    • @wondreel
      @wondreel 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mobile Motion I see shotgun mic not ideal for recording your actors having dialog right

    • @SiHorrocks
      @SiHorrocks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is if you have someone to hold the boom. But probably lavaliers are better. Pro sound recordists use both and feed boom and lav into a mixer

    • @wondreel
      @wondreel 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mobile Motion I see lav or boom the best what purpose of shotgun and you should record audio separately

    • @wondreel
      @wondreel 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mobile Motion I see I have shotgun mic but wireless Lavilier be better for recording actors dialog record audio separately then sync together in post think I got it

    Please help me! I am having real problems with the sound on my TH-cam videos at home, I can hardly hear the audio on my PC desktop but it is very clear on my uPad and iPhone. 50% of my community report no problem at all with the sound while other half have great difficulty in hearing anything. What is going on? My latest video - th-cam.com/video/kxgQvS1YUq8/w-d-xo.html -is the latest victim. All suggestions are very welcome. Thank you.
