I love mowing, but the size of your guys’ lawns in the midwest to east coast is incredible. I would drop dead mowing that much lol, but I am jealous lol. 😎🌴
Check out ALLETT reel mowers. That is what I use on my GNZ Zoysia. The thing I love about ALLETT is the capability to change the cartridges. I have a 10 blade, 6 blade, verticut, and scarifier cartridges.
It's definitely been a lot of work just getting the sod established. The bermuda came out of the gate hot and had very few weeds. The zoysia that came from the same farm was not so good. They cut it thin and it was matted with dormant grass, not to mention that it's riddled with poa. I used CytoGro on the bermuda, maybe that's the difference 🤔 I will be using those products on all of it, probably applying this week. I have some vids on the way soon explaining the turfgrass programs we put together using the ecologel build a box. Stay tuned
I have my eye on the 10-30-20 due to my soil test coming back low on Phosphorus and Potassium, More on the P than on the K, i wanted to get this on my lawn to help it out. How often are you spraying it. I wouldn't mind getting a 25lb bag and using it as my main fertilizer then switch over to a granular for rest of season. Thanks
I didn't weigh it but I'd say it was about 3 lbs of product. Each lb of product has .2 lbs of N and it went over 8kft². This was just an application to lightly spoon feed foliarly. This was not in any way a significant source of anything but I needed some micros to hold me over until this next weekend. The Peters 20 20 20 with micros is actually a really nice product to fill in some gaps or apply in-between granular apps. Imo, it's too costly to run only Peters week in and week ouy.
@@reelhoss3715 it is perfect to apply when trying to get lateral movement on the lawn. Couple it with something like kelp or CytoGro and regular low mowing and you'll get there quick. I will be using the Simple Lawn kelp on the front lawn and the CytoGro on the test plots. I am not comparing one to the other but you'll be able to see what it does for me.
@@NCGrassPlugs yes, I heard Matt talking about it too abd he even recommended it on my soil test results. I didn’t know you could use it on turf, growing up my dad used it on all his plants and vegetables
Thanks for all of the great knowledge, I’m excited to see the progression of your 4 grass plots.
Good Stuff! Love the new yard and the test plots!
Thanks! I am ready to see your new home lawn transformation too.

I cut about 5 acres of grass but 2 of those I am trying to keep clean...and of course the zoysia front yard and now the test plots.
@@NCGrassPlugs How long does it take you to mow?
@@LawnNOrder I can do all of it on the zero turn in 2 hours 10 mins. Probably 30 mins for the reel mowing part.

I heard they’re nice
I like the test plots

I didn't have any 10-30-20 in a liquid form but I did use a 10-20-20 in granular. I can recommend some things, email me at info@ncgrassplugs.com
How many sq ft did you cover with that 5 cups of peters and how much N did that give you

Ah okay. That's what I was wondering. Didn't seem like 25lbs at that price would be feasible as a stand alone monthly. Thank you sir

Let me know how well that peters works! I got a bag in my Amazon cart
I use it by spoon feeding, just a little at the time. It came recommended by The Grass Factor and Green Doc. Check the price on domyown.com too
What is the rate calculation for that peters? If love to apply 1/2lb of N per k to soon feed but I'm to dumb to figure out the formula lol

@chris williams One 25 lb bag has 20% N in it or 5 lbs of N. That means each actual pound of product contains .2lbs of each N, P and K.
