That would be nice. Having an everyday shortstop with that kind of power and RBI numbers would solve some problems. I just hope he can repeat it at Oracle Park. Not hitter friendly like Milwaukee's Miller Park...or whatever they're calling the place now. A 20-80 year will suffice for sure.
@@hopespringseternal2624 It's not yet confirmed that he's out for next season. Great opportunity for a buy low because of the medical concerns, and he / Jung Hoo can rehab together!
I like Adames but I also think Chapman will vouch for Bo Bitchette and Buster will listen to that. If he can return to form, they might need a hitter like Bichette, 180-190 hits high average, than a guy like Adames, home runs but a lot of strikeouts
I felt the A's were more entertaining the Giants, seems the had more passion for the game and tried harder. I got so disgusted watching Giants hitters flailing at pitches way out of the strike zone. Was so glad when the traded Soler, Schmidt is really bad at chasing pitches also.
I'm in agreement with you there, and I'd say there's a decent chance we go after Hye-Seong Kim as well in who is almost certainly getting posted by the Kiwoom Heroes this winter. Then Tyler Fitzgerald could slide to the outfield.
@@SanFranFan30It would be pretty cool if they did land Kim Hye-Seong to pair up with JHL & potentially HSK to form an all Korean middle infield and CF, but idk if that's in the cards right now with Buster & the new management. Plus, I think Fitz is better off in the infield.
@@nowl775 I feel like Tyler would be great in a Ben Zobrist kind of role where he's capable of playing reasonable defense will providing a solid bat that could work anywhere in a lineup. His biggest strength is his all-around versatility.
I don't know how the Giants are supposed to "go to the playoffs every year" when we have the WORST farm system in MLB. And yes, Ben IT DOES MATTER. It matters because of two things. 1. We can't swing any midseason trades to fill holes in our roster at deadlines if no one values our prospects. And 2. We are a lot less likely to be able to get high-end talent to come up through our system which means that we have to BUY that talent and that is IF players will even take our money which based on track record, is not happening. Let's say that the Giants farm system is underrated, does it matter if we are actually 20th in actuality??? That is still bottom third!!! And again, if no one values our prospects then we can't trade to fill holes. This team is a disaster and as soon as we stop min-maxing next year, we are going to EXPLODE like a beautiful train wreak in slow motion spilling all kinds of waste all over MLB. We could be White Sox levels of bad! No one is going to be able to fix this until we R.E.B.U.I.L.D. And we need to accept that.
@@yoki_isthename9456 he failed at both. Draft and development under Farhan was near the bottom of the league. Probably why he couldn’t trade and top FA don’t want to come to a Farhan type of organization
@@hopespringseternal2624 I don’t think he’s out for 2025. Where did you see this? All I see is he’s out for this season. But this might be enough of a reason for us to not get him

He was only hitting 227 when he went down. And that is the last thing the Giants need - someone that is hitting that poorly.
Bobby Evans lives in Ben's head rent free. I hope Buster brings him back just to make him seethe. All of the excuses he gives Farhan (i.e. ownership hates rebuilding and wants to win now) suddenly vanish when he talks about Evans, specifically the Reynolds/McCutchen trade. Farhan could only dream of having a Bryan Reynolds to offer on the trade market in the first place. In fact, Bobby Evans was the primary reason why Farhan was able to avoid a 90-loss season during his tenure. Ramos, Walker and pre-collapse Doval sure ended up carrying a lot of the weight here. I'd love to have Bobby Evans back.
Here we go again. Ben asking if all these players will become Giants. He does this every year. Ben, no one wants to play on a losing team. Now, back to watching the playoffs. They have been so exciting! There is nothing like playoff baseball. It is so exciting!
I don't really care much for his HRs. If he reaches 30, thats great. I'm more interested in his RBIs. We have stranded runners all season, if we have him driving runs (112 RBIs this season), that's where we need him the most.
Probably not going to come to SF unless she was the one fully in charge, she stepped away and left the marlins front office a year or two ago after the marlins wanted to hire a President of Baseball Ops, which would have put her 2nd in command

Adames for Chapman money/years might be OK. I'd still hope to double down on Kim - what an IF defense, and improved overall offense, that could be.

They already overpaid for Matt Chapman, why stop now?
If anything, Adames is a better gamble, even on an overpay, because he's only 30.
