Kassandra has such confidence in her strength of technique that she can play with rare delicacy, as this piece requires. Very good that Brouwer gets universal exposure, as "Afro-Cuban" as a definition does not honor the breadth of his music. Once more, Siccas brings us a powerful instrument, this time by M. Leonard.

Guitarist is excellent. Composition is wanting for melody and harmony. Dissonance is easy, just unload a barrel of empty soup cans down a metallic stairwell.
