so I have a couple questions, I have the same stereo. so the two amp cont wires need to be connected? and I recently bought subs and an amp for my truck, how would I tie in the RCA cables and the remote wire? if you could help me that would be amazing man thanks
@@SXYwaldo both of them don’t need to be connected. Just the one that powers the factory amp, if you have one. And the rca for the subs and amp plug into the back of the radio and the remote wire will plug into the blue remote wire on the radio harness.
@SXYwaldo I forgot this is a plug and play unit so they most likely won’t be labeled. If you can’t figure out which blue wire it is you can also just tap into the red wire on the radio harness!
@ZPTVChannel the only red wire I see is labeled buzzer? and the only blue wires I see coming out of the radio harness, there's one that's a plug and play labeled sub woofer, and the other is labeled amp cont
There’s a setting in the audio settings that normally says “volume offset” but this one has an option to turn down your factory amp so that’s what I did!
@@wj131_8 I can’t remember exactly what you go into off the top of my head but it’s in either the audio or accessibility settings. I’ll look when I get home and see!
@@ZPTVChannel I found out how to do it! You go to the Factory settings and enter the code “000000” and you can scroll down a little bit and turn it down, you can also change the km/h to mph.
How is the microphone for when your doing handsfree talking? The one I have now doesn't use the OEM microphone that's in my 2013 Silverado. And it's terrible the person on the other end of the call can't hear anything I say
The bracket on the Kenwood radio just needed to be slid up, the 3-4 screws on each side could be loosened then the radio can be moved on the bracket. Then you tighten the screws back once you have it where you want. The new one looks great tho, and it has AA and car play (not sure if that kenwood did) but the built in amp probably isn't as powerful and that would be a killer for me
I tried sliding it forward but it was as far as it would go… and no the kenwood didn’t have CarPlay. I was also worried about the built in amp but oddly enough it sounds better than the kenwood lol
That Kenwood way better then that Walmart radio. Adjust the mounting brackets to make it flush.u ve installed for years. You have to adjust the mounting brackets on the radio
That hasn’t been my experience with them so far! This one is out performing the kenwood. And the kenwood was adjusted as far forward as possible. I sold and installed the kenwood in another Tahoe and had to dremmel out the inner ring on the dash kit to get it to sit flush.
This radio sounds better than the original radio?
I’d say it sounds about the same. It sounds a lot better than the kenwood that was in it!
Great work ! I need to do a radio in my 2012. I have the same interior just no screen. Time to upgrade

@ZPTVChannel thank you, I'll try to get it all in this weekend
@@ZPTVChannel so I'm having trouble with the remote wire at the moment, which blue wire do I connect the remote wire from the amp to?

How do you adjust the volume for the radio???

I just got one of these and hooked it up but I don't see where these settings are, could you explain further? Much appreciated
@@ZPTVChannel I just got this unit, loving everything of it, but how were you able to turn the volume down on it??

thanks, ordered one today off your link
We’re still loving it! A lot better quality and sound than I originally thought!
Excelente thanks You
How are the turning signal sounds? Do they sound like the factory sounds or different?
They sound about the same but they’re way louder which is a bummer…
My turn signal speaker was super loud. I just put tape on it to muffle the sound
Does the radio come with everything you need or do you need to order an adapter or something
Comes with everything! It’s a plug and play unit!
@ great! Thank you for responding.
Thinking of getting this unit. Are you liking it so far ?? Thanx buddy
It’s great so far!

I haven’t really used it. It comes with a plug in mic and then there’s one built into the face of it. I didn’t plug in the external mic.

Did you have to buy a separate mounting bracket or does this one slide right in since it’s similar to the factory one?
Nope! It mounts using the factory mounting points so it just goes right in!
