That's not a bad little router. I bought my 1st router which was a MacAllister 1200W router and it was decent for a hobbyist like me. Now I am looking a one of the good TREND ROUTERS bcos they make really good ones on a much higher scale and the wattage is much bigger too giving more power. I would lover to see how this handled some hard white Oak or ASH. Those hard woods would really test this router. It chewed through the soft pine u used with it. I cut really well too. I'm impressed with this. I picked up some Parkside tools over the past yr. Nothing major just a few little power tools. I got the Belt sander which is grand, the Bench Drill with the belts/pulleys on top of it-the older model - This Bench Drill is a brilliant drill tbh. I would defo recommend that one to anybody looking for a good Bench Drill. I have it over a year now and use it all the time, and I also took a punt on their electric Stapler/Nail gun. It was decent with the staples but I've had issues with the nails of late. I need to have a better look at it bcos I put it in its box and eft it alone for a couple months now. These tools won't last years. They're not built to last for a decade like the Bosch, Dewalt and Makita brands. tHEY'LL LAST OUT THE WEEKEND WARRIOR THOUGH.
I really enjoyed this video, thanks a lot. You're the only person I've seen who demonstrated the circular guide. Your workshop is super clean and tidy! I've had this router in it's box but I was a bit intimidated by it because I've never used one. After watching you I'm ready to give it a go. I need to put some grooves under two doors and I was trying to work out the direction if using it sideways but then I realised it's the same just flipped 90 degrees er duh 🙄🥴😆
Ciao. :-( Antonio
Just bought one of these routers today. On emptying the box , amongst the tools and accessories they send with it there's an Allen key, what is it for, I can't find anything that small on the machine, and the only Allen screws I can find are possibly fixing the 2 vertical pillars to the base, but they look to be bigger. Anybody know?
Not only do they not offer any protection, gloves on rotating machines are actually extra dangerous. If your bare hand touched the machine you get away with a minor injury (e.g. a small cut on the table saw). If you wear gloves they wind up on the tool and pull your hand further into the machine causing very bad injuries like amputations.
Now, it's a bad router...
I just got this today, thanks for the video tutorial. Greetings from NJ USA!

They are for the bearings on the bits.

you need ear plugs, not gloves. they offer no protection against that tool and you have less feel in your hands.
Im pretty sure the gloves are for protecting his hands against splinters when whiping the wood.
