Always love watching Samus play. He has this ease to his playing where he plays fast and technically difficult parts and makes it look easy when it’s anything but. He’s a testament to the years of dedication he’s put into his craft.

Dude. I love jay but you make it all look so effortless and should've been considered for the job. I know your visibility probably wasn't as great when they were looking but holy fuck man.
Maybe it’s just me but I feel like Jay’s snare gets lost and muddied when he does blast beats on The Gray Chapter and We Are Not Your Kind. Wish the mixing just podded him up a little bit more on those sections.
putting microphones on drums is so hard you are literally better off buying an entire second high end electronic drumkit and buying samples that sound good.
7 at least high end microphones of various types ideally even more mics and sound treatment around the room... I mean he's got a set of 4 maybe 5 overheads just for the cymbals. the microphones are so sensitive that you can't run a pc fan without getting a nasty buzz in the lines. and good luck getting any good bass chug with a real mic in your kick... triggering a drum it might as well just be a trigger pad.

The sounds are pretty good. Long gone are the days when e-drums sounded cheesy, especially toms. Still when it comes to natural unprocessed sound, nothing like a wooden drumkit.
