    I’ve always had it in my mind that when I build my camper van out that I want rounded corners on everything. And then I saw this. It’s so beautiful.

      @@HoCtane248 I just spent 2 days visiting with Noovo (unfortunately didn’t take video) I got to spend time looking at how they are built and chat with the owners. The one thing I would change would be to eliminate the u shape dinette and put a couch with two jump seats that converts to a queen/king size bed. That table in the dinette looks like it could get a bit claustrophobic for me.

    • @BeyondtheFern
      @BeyondtheFern  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would be an interesting option. When you are in that space it actually is very comfortable. Lagun tables are a plus because they can be removed, but the downside is they don't feel as stable as a pedestal table. Thanks for watching!

  • @crimson25543
    @crimson25543 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Electric bed is the #1 game changer IMO. Being able to store the bed and not have to make a bed every night is something most vans don't have unless one does a custom build or DIY, and it's also something most people want. As for the toilet, I personally wouldn't want to deal with a cassette model, they should allow a swap with other kinds, including ones that need no plumbing or allow the use of composting. It's just one of those things where people want what they want. As for tables, I think having the option of 1 or 2 Lagun mounts would greatly increase the usability. While the pedestal table in back is lovely, a Lagun table is just a natural fit for that space, as well as up front for people using the captain seating.

    • @BeyondtheFern
      @BeyondtheFern  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree, the bed is such a great feature. I do like the pedestal table as it feels much more sturdy than a lagun, and it is also part of the second bed option. A lagun would be a nice option in the front for the passenger side, it would be another option for working and also extra counter space for food prep. Thanks for watching!

    Great video. Now I'm confused....I'm still sold on the Panoramic ... that being said there are some things about this RV that I like as well. Thanks for sharing the video. 🙏 and stay safe on the road. I may have to take them up on that three day rental to see what van life is truly like before I give up my Airstream .

    • @BeyondtheFern
      @BeyondtheFern  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I know what you mean! It is a very compelling van! They are very passionate about their product and seem like a great group of people. It is different from the Panoramic and both have great features. I think it comes down to how you want to travel - I think the Noovo might give you a little more options for extended off grid with the battery and fresh and gray tanks sizes, although the cassette would need to be emptied more frequently. The Panoramic has those nice windows and does have the black tank instead of a cassette. Thanks for watching!

    • @dougbevell7153
      @dougbevell7153 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Noovo is a sweet looking van. I'm just not so sure about the cassette toilet, but I do love the amount of water that the fresh and black tanks hold. I met your friend at Wrightsville Beach North Carolina and his panoramic and we really had great conversation . Since Panoramic doesn't have a rental agreement I may fly to Vegas and rent this van for three days and see what van life really is like. I do love the fact that the bed will raise up out-of-the-way. Keep the good videos coming and will be looking forward to your interview with drifter vans soon.

    • @BeyondtheFern
      @BeyondtheFern  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@dougbevell7153 yeah, I don’t know if I would want a cassette toilet either. Van travel is great! The biggest thing is you will realize how much you don’t need to bring, you basically trade storage space for ease of travel. You can pretty much park anywhere and if you are driving around and see something interesting it’s definitely much easier to stop and not worry about if you can fit with a travel trailer or big rig (class A) .

    Given the luxury focus and the RWD chassis I'm guessing this is meant more for full-time van-lifers and people who will mostly camp at campgrounds? I mean, I can't see taking this on the Dalton Highway to go see the Artic Ocean or driving it through the sand on a beach, or through the snow. Not only would I fear the RWD not handling those situations well, but the interior is almost "too pretty" for those sorts of activities that end up tracking a lot of dirt inside. I think it's an amazing build, and certainly capable of very comfortable off-grid traveling, but probably not a lot of off-road traveling?

    • @BeyondtheFern
      @BeyondtheFern  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I believe Noovo does build with a focus on full-time travel. The Promaster is front wheel drive, but I think the Promaster in general is not the best choice if you want to do a lot of serious off road travel. The Sprinter (older 4x4 or new AWD) with a lift is probably the best option for serious off road. Possibly an AWD Transit with a lift could be an option as well.

    • @JethroXP
      @JethroXP 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BeyondtheFern Thanks for the correction on FWD vs. RWD, that's certainly better. I've looked at a lot of the mainstream options for Sprinters, but most seem to use the 144 wheelbase, forcing the bed to be east-west, meaning that for a couple someone is getting crawled over and woken up at some point. I'd love for a company like Winnebago to offer a Revel 170 option using the extra length to orient the bed north-south. I know there are small custom builders that can do that but I worry a bit going with a custom build in terms of long-term support.

      The Plus the same length as the Noovo Lite, Winnebago Travato, Coachmen Nova and Panoramic. The difference is it is a taller van, I think it might be slightly taller than the Ford Transit High Roof, maybe an inch?
