I've got a KCQ- over by the maple woods Community college in the recent years they've added a walking hiking nature trail. Well one year a while back while out mushroom hunting my fella and I came some houses that were almost completely buried underground we found ourselves standing on their roof tops. This was when they were only just the renovations of the landbut in years since I had noticed that part of it of the wooded area alongside the creek it still sits undisturbed. I tried looking into the history of these homes a few times over the years seeming to be unable to find anything at all really.

This is a fascinating question. Have you been back to the site lately? Can you post some footage? I'd love to see it. I'm thinking there's more to this MUD FLOOD theory than most people think.

Looking forward functionality again, soon. Kansas City history has been deficiently neglected far too long. Kudos and thanks for the history lesson!

Wow, Paseo is so barren now. I always wondered what that building was. Too bad the young couple’s vision could not materialize. That was a nice idea.

There may be some people who believe the story we have been fed. There is no way that is true. Quarried the limestone on site? Are you kidding?

That is cool! There is a castle on the side of Turner Falls in Sulfur Oklahoma if you like those things. :)

The truth is that this building was from a previous civilization but they can't tell you that so they fabricated a backstory for it by saying some architect wanted it in a Romanesque style because it didn't cost anything extra. You'll find a lot of these similar backstories all over the country.

Mkay this is called the "Trap Castle" ... I just feel very strongly that if 90% of the Kansas City population is going to know this building by that name we should at least mention it in the documentary...
