Hey Dennis. Sorry for the late reply. So, about an hour ago I thought "I'll start doing reviews of guitars NOT to buy". Then I thought "wait, I don't do paid reviews so if I follow up on that idea I'm going to need to invest in some crappy guitars". I'm not sure it's worth it. LOL. I feel silly even saying it but I believe in some kind of cosmic karma and I feel like doing the next right thing is never a bad move. I really appreciate your support. Please take care and have a great week. -Mark
Nice video, Mark! I have three Sires, they are really good for their price... Really love my Sire H7v semihollow! By the way your RokLoks really rocks! I bought eight pairs of them. I usually use three of them on each strap, so I can have them in two positions, one standing and one for sitting down. Really like that I'm able to switch between those positions so fast!
Hey brother. Thanks for taking the time to check it out. Great work on the social media. We are really popping and you deserve all the credit. Be good. Mark
Thanks for the demo and your usual unvarnished review, Mark. I've heard overwhelmingly good things about Sire's Larry Carlton line, but it's nice to have a confirmation from someone I feel I know and can trust.
Thanks from the UK for that review, Mark. I was wondering about the brand and it's good to see an honest, independent viewpoint. BTW can we expect a review of the Spark 2? Keep up the good work 👍
Hey Gary. I'm fiddling with my Spark 2 right now. Here's the deal. The way I see it, it would be worth the upgrade for three reasons. The looper, the portability, and/or the improved DSP. I'm going to do a video comparing the sounds from each. As far as the looper goes, it doesn't work with the old pedal so you need to spend an extra $150 in order to use it. I mean, you can press the buttons on the top of the amp but how the heck are you supposed to loop and press the buttons with your fingers! LOL. And the portability? Well, you need to invest an extra $80+ in the battery for that. I'm not sure if it's worth the upgrade. I guess a better question is this: for someone who doesn't own either is it better to buy the Spark 40 used for $140ish or is it better to spend the approx $460 to get the full functionality out of the Spark2. Thanks so much for your time. I sincerely appreciate it. -Mark
nice video, mark - i'll have to check out their catalogue - i still need a tele- and strat- types for my collection, and maybe they might have their versions - hope you're enjoying the long weekend! 😊
Hey brother. I hope you're doing alright. I've been out of commission for a couple of weeks now. Another biopsy and it's always a slow recovery. Feeling better today. Shoot me an email or give me a call sometime when you have a few. I just want to catch up and see how you're doing. I'll be back up in CT next summer for another reunion show and I might do a show in Rhode Island as well. If I'm up there for more than 3 10-hour rehearsals gig and home then maybe we could meet up and I'll buy you dinner. Take care. -Mark
I think it's inevitable that you're gonna get a few clunkers when you're producing such a high volume of guitars. And I don't even mean churning out guitars. If somebody handmade all their guitars but made 50k guitars a year, things are going to happen. I have had amazing luck with Squier but I bought the Squier 12 and the intonation was so far off I couldn't adjust it with the quasi 12-saddle bridge (not a true 12-saddle bridge, one of those that has 12-adjustable saddles but the movement of each is finite because one sits on top of the other). Anyway, I appreciate you checking out the video and I hope you have a great week. -Mark. PS- Sorry for the late reply!
@@8MinuteAxe The 2 Squiers I own are my favorite guitars....Hands down...Squier J Masics Jazzmaster and Contemporary JM I upgraded the pups on. Went with the EMG Rev set. Nothing needed to be done to the Masics...Both necks are to die for. And I say this owning a both a custom shop Gibs, and Fender...a close second to the Squiers are the 3 hagstroms I own. Just goes to show American guitars are just average nowadays... especially for the price ..and of course anyone over paying for guitar brands these days is not really a player of guitars, rather a collector. Thank you Sir for your comment. I'm French and I.live in Feance. I was about to buy a Gibson Les Paul but It seems that you pay for the logo, not for the quality which is not anymore a good quality guitar.
Hey Joseph. I'm sorry for the delayed reply. I'm not affiliated with them at all and I couldn't recommend them more. As a matter of fact, I've been eyeing my Gibson 335 and I think it's time to sell it and "upgrade" to a Sire H7! Thanks so much for checking out the video. I appreciate your time and comment. Have a great week and take care. -Mark
I could see myself having one of every style. They just launched some new ones including a nylon string that looks very cool. Thanks for weighing in. I appreciate your time. Mark
I sincerely appreciate that. I'm so glad you like them Dan. I hope you're well. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Rough couple of weeks. Please take care. -Mark
They really are. I think people have grown so weary of youtubers touting every single guitar on earth. That's why I don't do paid reviews. I was so excited to share my discovery about Sire and...this was my poorest performing video in almost a year! LOL. Thanks so much for checking it out. I really appreciate your time and comment. Please take care and be well. -Mark
I honestly don't think I could buy a strat, tele, 335, or lp ever again without checking out the Sire first. They are almost too good to be true. The fretwork is the best I've ever seen. Thanks again.
Hey Sal. Always great to hear from you. Things are pretty good. I always try to be grateful for all of the blessings I have. I hope you're well. Take care and have a great week! -Mark
I'm sitting here practicing slide guitar (my wife and kids think I"m murdering small animals down here) and the same thought just went through my head 30 minutes ago. I have the 61 Epiphone (either a high end Epi or a low budget Gibson). I like Epiphones and I've owned several but the Sires are in a different class. Thanks for checking out the video. I appreciate your time and comment. Mark
Nice to hear a demo of a guitar without excessive overdrive or reverb Mark, you allow us to hear how the guitar really sounds, and it sounds good 🎸🎸🎸🙂
Your honesty in not taking paid reviews speaks volumes and makes you so much more respectable. I trust your opinion!

I have not heard of Sire guitars. I’m going to check them out now.
Thanks for reviewing this guitar Mark.
Great review of a relatively new product line. Thanks!
These guitars really kick ass. Sucks that I got the Mackenzie and Marr and Sire back to back. I don't know which is better in its own way.
Thanks for the review. I have been thinking about a Sire for awhile, and I think your review finally sold me on one
I was blown away. It's the most comfortable neck I've ever played...and that usually why I stay away from LPs. Thanks so much. Mark

Great review, Mark! I've heard of Sire guitars before but hadn't seen them or heard them played. Impressive!

Great video the Sire Gold Top sounds amazing and thank You!
Good morning and Labor Day weekend . Thanks, Mark, for the information on the Sire. I always trust your opinion 💯.

Thank you for this review. I’ll definitely have to check them out.
It’s as beautiful looking as it is sounding. Very nice!!!
Thanks Mark for profiling the Sire, did not know much about them before this video
Looks and sounds killer Mark!
Can’t go wrong with a LP gold top!

Sire's are great, tho sometimes their QC is terrible...but so is Gibson's also sometimes. Love the channel, quick, and to the point

At this time in my life if I were to purchase yet another guitar it would be a Sire Larry Carlton 🎸🇬🇧😜
I was really blown away. Best neck ever. Thanks for checking it out. Mark
