AKL: Kidani Village - 2 Bedroom Villa Savanna View - Room Tour

- This is a full room tour of the 2 Bedroom Villa with a Savanna View at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas: Kidani Village. This is a Disney Vacation Club room, but it can be booked through the Walt Disney World website as well. Our room number was 7666.
We were on the second floor (the first floor is the parking garage). We had an amazing view of the animals on the savanna, as well as the sunset off to the right of the balcony. This room is closer to the end of the (very long) hallway, so you may want to request a room closer to the lobby. Remember it is a request and not guaranteed, but Disney does work to accommodate as many guests as possible.
This room sleeps up to 9 adults and has 3 full bathrooms. The queen pullout sofa bed is newer and more comfortable than the beds in some other resorts.

I’m not sure if it’s the colors and finishes, and I know it’s obviously due to the theme, but this room looks so dark and dated to me! Did you guys get that vibe? Thank you so much for all that you do! I really enjoy your videos!
Thank you! Yes, all the villas at AKL are quite dark and dated. With so much of the color palette beings tans and browns, it soaks up any light coming in. The cash rooms are much brighter since they’ve been remodeled.

Thanks so much for your room tour videos! They are the best I've ever seen in the 17 years we've been DVC members. And I agree with the previous comment- you definitely provide exactly the details I'm looking for- not too long and with a steady camera and no crazy music. Do you recall which Savannah this room overlooked? or possibly the room number? We have an upcoming reservation and i would love to request this particular savanna view. Thanks!

Do you know if the pull out twin bed chair can be fit into the master? (Would it fit through doorway?)
I don’t know. If it did fit, it would be a tight squeeze.
Great tour-I know they were doing refurbishments at Kidani recently… do you know which rooms were affected by that and what the changes were?
It's just an external refub at Kidani - outside walls, roof, etc. They're not making any changes to the rooms this time around.
We are debating a DVC contract at AK Kidani or Old Key West. The rooms both look amazing. Wondering how you feel about location of the AK resort in relation to all the parks. It seems soooooo far away!
We actually don’t have a problem with where AKL is located compared to the parks. You’re close to AK and closer to HS and EP than if you stayed near MK. As far as the rooms and activities, we like Old Key West better. But if you want to be closer to several parks and will take time to see the animals, AKL is the better option. It really depends on what’s most important to you. 😊

I seen 2 tours of the 2 bedroom villa kidani village one has 2 queen beds the other has a queen bed and a pullout in the room. Is it just luck on getting the 2 beds versus the 1 and 1?
The difference is one is a lock-off and the other isn’t. A lock-off is a one bedroom and studio (which has the pull-out sofa instead of the bed) combined, but a dedicated (which is this one) is an actual two bedroom 😊

This was so helpful - hope to book one next spring with my parents. We’ve stayed in the studio but never anything larger. On a personal note, love the animal print top! Where did you find that?!

@@HereWithTheEars yes, after I posted this question I found the answer. 1173 for 2 bedrooms whether lock-off or regular. 3 bedrooms are truly spacious being from over 2200 feet to over 2300 square.
