The Yak-9UT is really worth trying out at 6.0
It has options for 23, 37, or 45mm cannons, though you lose a 20mm with the last option.
I've found that 20mm tracers and 23mm stealth is good for mixed use, while 20mm tracers and 37mm air targets is the best for dogfighting

Yeah the Yak-9UT also has good acceleration, climb, and turn rate. IMO one of the most overrated planes in mid tier.

You should try out the G.55 sottoserie 0, not as CAS but as CAP and the occasional SPAA kill. If you play it safe, you’ll get a free three or four plane kills per game. If you add in something like the AUBL, it’s a free way to get into the air because of air strike.

i just click one for the cannon and to only use mg you can press the 1 key to fire smaller caliber guns
