The first video I found said give up and just buy a new nail gun. LOL! Thanks for sharing and providing the link to the replacement part. This fox Worked for me
10 videos 1 hour looking for the part and your video is the only one that names the part. Thank you. Built almost the same. I have a husky. Found the part.
Thanks for the video. I recently had to purchase a DeWalt battery operated nailer when my Porter Cable did the same thing yours did. Will now be repairing it shortly. Thanks for the info. Of course, it did allow me to get the battery operated nailer that I wanted. Now I will have both.
I'm about to throw my PC DA250A in the trash!.. I bought it for $200 about 18 years ago and it has not even shot 1000 nails. The plunger pin is jammed and won't retract. The rebuild parts are discontinued and if you could buy them the rebuild kit would be less than a "throwaway" nailer from Harbor Freight. Except in this case my expensive PC IS a throwaway nailer! Last time I buy Porter Cable!
I have same porter nailer like yours and it started to leaks air today, I’m gonna try to open it up and see if the same part is broken. Is the part called collar? Thanks for the video

How long did it take for the part to come in? You didn't say in the video. You did a good job fixing your nail gun.
Ordered on Thursday received on Saturday.
Tool looks to new to be having a problem. Shame on you Porter Cable 😔
I bought it in 2008 because of Hurricane Ike, replaced base trim and it has been on a shelf waiting to be used again.
What a piece of crap. Endless videos on TH-cam repairing this Porter cable junk. Same problem with mine.
