In most Austrian cities fireworks (apart of the official ones) are banned due to the fact that they're dangerous and have caused injuries and fires in the past, the air pollution they are causing and they're also bad for animals.

New years is usually very crazy here in The Netherlands because everyone has an insane amount of fireworks, at midnight you see them everywhere at every house you look. But it also causes a lot of injuries and property damage, people blow up mailboxes and busstops with illegal firework. So for the first time fireworks are banned this year because of corona, so the hospitals won’t get even more work from all the injuries, it will be a very strange and quiet new yearss😕 Merry Christmas to you and Bianca xx🎄
Oh wow yeah that’s not good! Fireworks can definitely be dangerous. Most of our nye events in Australia are canceled too because of corona it will definitely be different here too. Probably a good thing, we all need to go into the new year with a different outlook and more open minds so maybe something different will be good!

Yeah it’s so annoying but apparently they are allowed to start at that time and I could complain to the council or our security but technically they’re not doing anything wrong I guess. I have complained to them directly though about parking us in and they said they wouldn’t so I guess we will see 🥺
