Hi there do you sell your works....how does the sandpaper keep...how do you store your finished pieces...do you use Rembrandt only.

Hi, yes, I sell my work, but not on sandpaper.
I use professional pastel paper for sale.
I hold artwork on sandpaper under a frame with glass and a mat. Or I put tracing paper on the sketch so that there is no mechanical damage.
I don't use a fixative.
I use pastels from many brands, not just Rembrandt.

Здравствуйте, Екатерина. Вы всегда начинаете свои работы с нанесения чёрного цвета почти на весь рисунок. Скажите, пожалуйста, зачем вы это делаете?

Добрый день! Да, я практически всегда начинаю с черного подмалевка (наношу пастелью или углем). Это стадия разбора работы по тону.
Прежде чем это сделать, необходимо прищурить глаза и посмотреть, на исходник или натуру, как бы через ресницы, чтобы не видеть детали, а смотреть только на светлые и темные пятна.
После этого тонким слоем (без нажима) нанести на самые темные места слой черного.
Затем уже работать с цветом.
Очень часто у пастели не хватает насыщенных темных оттенков и вот такая темная подложка помогает не ошибиться с тоном, особенно на черной основе.
