Last year when i was in 9th grade I was 316 lbs. Me and my dad started training together and dieting. My dad showed me one of your videos and your weight loss inspired me to diet even harder! Now 1 year later im 240 lbs and I added 20 lbs of muscle! Thank you so much for making this channel!

Hey first off I'm addicted to your TH-cam channel. I'm 59yrs old have trained my whole life. The last four years I've had major tricep surgery 2014, torn rotator cuff/bicep right shoulder 2016, & am recovering from left shoulder rotator cuff/bicep surgery. Anyway, I'm going to start a keto diet being that it's tough to workout right now but will continue to maintain the keto lifestyle for the long run. I just received my order from kettle and fire then I saw your challenge. So I will be starting this tomorrow... I'll keep you posted.. Thank you for your amazing blog. Btw I'm also a big fan of Hylete.. Some amazing stuff they have.
My concern with bone broth is that heavy metals are deposited into bones upon exposure, knowing the animal agricultural industry this is not uncommon, and turns out seems to be an easy way to expose yourself to such
I am starting today as well and plan to use my four sigmatic 10 mushroom blend in my morning broths. Delicious! What I find hard is that I usually do OMAD And I'm not even remotely hungry yet. I'm about 16 hrs fasted now but am going to have the broth as I know I have an event midweek for work that involves dinner and would otherwise have to wait on this fast and then we run into holidays. So today is the day. Broke my fast yesterday with K&F chicken bone broth with the four sigmatic mushroom blend and it made my head feel so clear.
Just getting to the end of my 96hr fast salt water and coffee started at 83.5 ended at 79.5 fairly easy no headaches just a few belly rumbles now and again and still managed heavy small workouts very happy, thanks Thomas for your great advice
This is actually day 3 of a bone broth fast but I plan to break my old record of 14 days water fasting. I am not doing this alone so I will probably get pretty far with this and be ready for Christmas Dinner by breaking with broths the day before.
Water fasting is dangerous and life threatening if u do it the wrong way without adding the right minerals and electrolytes. U should consume water with salt, bone broth and potassium supplements
Update on my bone broth fast! I had bone broth in the late morning/afternoon for sunday-Tuesday and a pint size dinner meal for monday and yesterday along with the broth meals (I can't eliminate food entirely yet because my body has undergone tremendous medical trauma in the last year) however, EVERYONE IN my house is flu ridden to their bed except me! It was mild, no severe flu symptoms and some fatigue with a low grade fever. Not only did this broth actually support my body in kickin this flu, but I'm down 3 lbs and I feel better than my kiddo that caught it last Thursday 😮😀
I did a 4 day bone broth over a week ago and o want to do this three day just to be part of the community. I never did the oil but that is a great idea. I will keep you posted on how I feel. I’m pumped to try it. With 10000 of other people.

Thank you for everything you do! I coincidentally started my first 48 hour fast today, and I'm feeling great 24 hours in. I may go 72. While I'm not taking in anything but water and some black coffee so far, I'm planning to refeed with collagen when I do break my fast as I had already ordered it and don't know where to find bone broth -- though I'm sure it can't be that hard. I'm a 34 year old athlete who got in the best shape of my life losing 35lbs of fat this year and discovering the athletic potential I never really knew I had. I have some difficult life circumstances that spurred the change in April, but also people like you to thank for keeping me on track in my journey. I've just been diagnosed with Parsonage Turner syndrome which is a year long setback if I am lucky and can push through to a full recovery. If I'm not so lucky, it will change my life forever. I am fasting after learning about the healing effects of autophagy on the human immune system and nervous system in hopes that it will help me rebuild from the sudden damage this disorder has caused my body. If the going gets tough over the next few days, I will be checking in on your videos and looking to you for continued inspiration. If you know anything about the disorder or would like to learn about how it impacts people feel free to get in touch with me.
started yesterday since I intermittent fast and eat OMAD for dinner (just skipped it). Oh my goodness, you weren’t kidding about the difficulty sleeping on day 1. I was so tired but my body was completely wired. I literally laid most of the night with my eyes closed but unable to get into a deep sleep. Feels like I was up all night. :( Hope that piece improves as I continue.
I do a few of these a year. First day is the hardest. I actually skip my lifting sessions the whole three days. Also, be sure to break your fast with something extremely small and easy to digest like lettuce or sardines. And stay near a bathroom. Within 30-60 mins of breaking the fast your digestive system is FULLY WOKE & makes up for lost time.
I have been doing a 23 hr water fast I might give this a shot been doing the 23 hr fast for 13 days must love the channel far the best one on here as far as real good information
Starting today tom. Super excited for it. I would also like to say I have lost 25 lbs since finding your channel in October. Just wanted to thank you my dude.
I have stage 4 liver disease. Can you suggest a few great things to eat. Every thing I try to eat is so salty. I would appreciate if you could do this for me. People I talk to say you are THE BEST. THANK YOU. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
I just bought some bone broth today because I suffer with IBS really really bad where I've been in and out the doctors for 2 years so I'm really tired of this and it's affecting my weight loss Journey so I'm going to try this bone broth

Ordered the Beef Bone Broth through Kettle & Fire, ordered Late Sunday night arrived first thing this morning. Super fast with a great discount! Starting late but I'm starting.
Ready. Did this a week ago for three days didn't have a problem though by the third day was tough doing grocery shopping. I'm doing chicken bone broth, I don't eat beef. But good to go. Thanks, Thomas.
Happy Bone Broth Fast Day! LOL Seriously, i woke up at 4:30am feeling excited about the next three days. I took mu full body measurements and mental assesment. I did a short bodyeeight execise routine and im on my way to work. I set my schedule as: wake up @ 4:30am, bodyweight workout @ 4:45a, get to work, bone broth @ 8am, work, bone broth @ Noon, work then home by 5p, weights workout @ 6pm, and final bone broth @ 7:30p, bed @ 8pm
at some point can you talk about how to break the fast.... I eat Keto, but haven't since the holiday season started. Thinking this would be a good transition back to keto.
I have done three 2 day fasts, so far. My energy level on the 2nd day is amazing! I did not expect that. I only drank coffee and water. I have bone broth in the freezer so I can start this tomorrow (Tuesday). I also ordered enough Kettle and Fire to get through the 3 day bone broth fast. I'm hoping for some results... anything!! LOL! since I have gotten really off track. I hope this fast motivates me to get back on Keto and IF.
Thomas. I never get flu jabs and I rarely get sick. However, in this past week I contracted a nasty flu which turned into Bronchitis and I lost my voice too. Doing a bone broth fast for 3 days should hopefully eliminate the residual toxins from my body so I can get back on top.
Perfect timing for me we went to a Christmas party last night and I ate the Lasange and garlic bread and had a couple cookies because my plan was to fast Monday Tuesday Wednesday but I was only going to to a water only fast but I will be trying this bone broth Fast I already have the bone broth in the house so I will do this or die trying this is my little saying to movtivate myself.
Treat yourself like you would treat your best friend. No punishment for the delicious food from yesterday and the purpose of the next three days to do good for your body, again not to punish or gain rewards.
@@Lorij24 Thanks for the advice but I had planned to eat the party food and then to do a three day fast not for punishment but rather to get back on track quicker my body works great with IFing and the Keto diet. Thomas just happen to plan this bone broth fast so since I had already planned to fast I figured I would try his method and see how I do. Also I would challenge my best friend to do exactly what I said lets do this or die trying I have been saying this ever since I was in the Marines it is a motivation for me.
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial I made t he goal 3 day fast and I didn't die. I lost about 6 pounds I did however have some serious leg cramps right above my knees at the bottom of my quads I didn't workout on the third day because of the leg pain. My workouts are I swim 1 hr when I swim I use my arms only because of back pain. plus I walk in the water with the pool weights for another hr I did have more energy during my swim on the second day of the fast . I will try this again in a couple months.
MADE IT!!! Day 1 is done son...lol...even with me cooking dinner for the family. Matcha Tea got me through my hunger, ice satisfies the “chew” mentality and water filled in the gaps. I am finishing my evening with black coffee (turmeric and maca)!!!!
Starting today!!! Good time too because I've got a bad neck kink= super inflamed. Time to detox. I'm also drinking charcoal lemonade through the day. Hope that's ok. I'm also moving into paleo with the hopes to just do Keto for the rest of my life. Excited!!
Thomas what about home made beef broth? I prepared some veal shank bones last night ... my question is about the fatty layer that forms on top once bone broth cools... should I be separating it... eating it...or should I only drink what is under the fatty layer?
Thomas DeLauer Do you always remove the fat, or is that special for this 3 day fasting period? I normally use homemade bonebroth in my diet, and never removes the fat.🤔
Hey thomas, its hard here in the uk to find bone broth, its really expensive to get kettle and fire here aswell. So any tips? Or any of your followers know what i can do?? I dont have the time to make my own unfortunatlya. Any help would be great.
I'm excited and ready to go! I have a ton of broth in the fridge and some in my slow cooker! I have been wanting to do this for a while, I do intermittent fasting and have gone 24, but this is a first! Thanks for the motivation!!😊 See you on the other side 😉
good luck bro! ...have a question/s or advice to ask: Peanut butter: "Adams" 100% Natural Peanut Butter is my weakness :) .... i definitely use only Stevia for all my coffee and tea. Not sure whether this breaks me out of fast, but i do drink 2-3 coffees before i eat in the afternoon-ish(12:30 - 1PM -First meal). Usually i don't eat anything after 6:30-7:00PM. I tend to have a peppermint tea with stevia at night before bed. I exercise 3-4 times a week (35-40 minutes wight training, trying as heavy as i can, mostly free weights) plus 5 times a week, every morning after i wake up a do a 30-40 min indoor bike. I am struggling with my belly, waist fat region...everywhere else, i am seeing veins popping up :) specially my thighs, upper chest, etc. any thoughts? I don't eat refined sugars, i have probably 2-3 slices of wholegrain bread a week :) besides that, I do not eat almost any carbs(except the ones from veggies (mostly celery, green leaf salad, cabbage)
That’s true , you are a professional . I just worked out did a 30 hour fast first time and was fine?! I been training on n off for bout 20 years n always was firm on big preworkout meals. Now I’m trying to get more vascular n ripped so I am gonna do more fasted training!
I can fast for days but I find myself problematic is after the fast; where my brain wants to eat everything for the next couple of days, and always ended up eating more daily calories (sometimes double). For people who has food addiction, should they do this?
Cindy Hsu Since you’re already in ketosis after a fast, try eating very low carb, moderate protein the first couple days and get your calories from fat. You might have better luck with appetite regulation, if you don’t start in with carbs right away again. They are by far more likely to trigger overeating than a piece of meat with butter.
@@raraavis7782 Yes think of it this would rather eat a Chinese buffet or eat a 16oz ribeye steak with a couple cups broccoli and you won't be able to eat for at least eight hours and feel good.
So I've never eaten bone broth before and was pretty skeptical about how satiated u would be but . . . WOW. I slightly modified the instructions because I do IF so I combined the breakfast and lunch to break my fast at 3pm then did another 12oz at 7pm. Let's see how this goes tomorrow because I feel GREAT now
If I remember correctly from the video, breakfast and lunch 8 ounces, dinner 12 ounces. Drink water, keep taking water soluble vitamins, and if you get foggy, 1-2 tsp coconut oil, no more than that.
Got my workout in and bows it’s thirty minutes later and I’m drinking my bone broth. So yummy! Even got my Brother to do this with me. Gotta thank you for getting all of us involved in on this! Thought you were starting it today but I’ll get a head start. 😉
You should run another poll to see how many people are actually in on the fast now that it has started; when you posted it last week I needed to think about it 🤔 ... But I'm in now and so glad you're getting everyone motivated 👍👍👍
I'm with you. I ordered my K&F beef bone broth last week to get ready. I tried it and was surprised at how bland and "thin" it tasted, so for this fast I will be adding salt and turmeric just for flavor.
Thankyou for this video it was extremely helpful! I was hoping you could answer a few questions that I have. My first one is dairy free yogurt. Is the brand “Kite hill unsweetened plain almond milk yogurt” healthy or will it lead to belly fat? Another question I have is about berries. I do not consume any berries because of what I here people say about the fructose, sugar, and carbs that are in berries. Which berries do you recommend that are completely healthy and won’t lead to belly fat?
So just checking in I left the gym yesterday at 222 and today when I left I was 218. Still did my 1 mile run before lifting. My workout was good, intensity stayed the same as well as energy levels. When I got home and drank my broth I started feeling kinda wore out but that's to be expected I guess.
Oh my goodness I cannot do it this week but I am cheering you all on and will pick a week to do so in the future ( I will let you know when but it will probably for the New Year) but I will be fasting Mon Tues Weds 6a to 6p no food just water ( not bragging or boasting just sharing ) and I’ll be doing this next week and the week after. Great video and my thoughts and prayers are with all...You guys got this ! #liking #sharing

Wife and I started today (16th) as well. We were understanding it was the 16th. We have to be done by the 19th because of a Christmas party we are hosting under a prior arrangement. Also, making our own bone broth. Surprised the small town butcher always has them around. He always gets asked for that. And 10 miles away there is local grass fed bones!

Hey Thomas, can you please make a video about what you exactly eat in a day? Including pre and post workout, cause i want to tone and build muscle, but all trainers in my gym said i eat too little calories and proteins to stimulate muscle growth. Yes i have watched your videos about build muscle in keto, but since my muscle hasn't built yet even i strict with my keto and exercise everyday for 2 months, i worry about the wrong nutrition that i eat. Your help means so much to me, thanks!!
Im at the 40 hour mark now. Kettle and Fire, coffee and water. I added Mg++, K+, L-carnitine as per usual for my workouts. Last night a little difficulty sleeping but today feel great. Waiting to see your live posts?!?
I am ending 17 days of water-only fasting today. Last night I picked up some Kettle & Fire Bone Broth. The local store only had 2 boxes of Chicken broth. I was thinking of adding Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides to increase the collagen content. What do you think of that idea? Do you have any suggestions for probiotics or other things to ease back into eating food again after an extended fast?
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial - feel great overall. hunger comes and goes, but manageable. it's taken some practice to get to this level. i do my weight training fasted too. keeping my electrolytes up have been key, thanks to your videos and Dr. Berg's as well. first few attempts without electrolytes, i experienced dizziness and fatigue. i typically do a 21/3 - fast/eating (keto) routine daily. occasionally, fold in an extended fast. thanks again for all the great info Thomas!
Two questions- Q1. If we are practising intermittent fasting and ketogenic diet together, can we break our fast with a high fat diet? Q2. Can we consume cinnamon with whey isolate for insulin resistivity on a ketogenic diet?

I have a video on it already!
Good luck!
What about a beer fast? :)
Bahhahaha,I like this guy!
👍🍺🍺🍺 I broke my dry fast with two 6 packs of craft beer. I felt amazing 👍. Highly recommended.

You mean Friday through Sunday?
48 hours down! Thanks Thomas feeling really good. Also, thanks kettle and fire for arriving on time for my dinner tonite, one more day to go!
*You are the best bro 💪*
Thank you!!!
Good luck...and try not to die
Treat yourself like you would treat your best friend. No punishment for the delicious food from yesterday and the purpose of the next three days to do good for your body, again not to punish or gain rewards.
LOL
I am finishing my evening with black coffee (turmeric and maca)!!!!
i know you mentioned black tea but is green tea ok? thanks tom
I'd think so but I'd like to know for sure, too, & herbal teas as well.
Any plain tea is fine
Thomas DeLauer appreciate it buddy
Can I drink decaf and get the same results?
Starting today!!! Good time too because I've got a bad neck kink= super inflamed. Time to detox. I'm also drinking charcoal lemonade through the day. Hope that's ok. I'm also moving into paleo with the hopes to just do Keto for the rest of my life. Excited!!
Thomas what about home made beef broth? I prepared some veal shank bones last night ... my question is about the fatty layer that forms on top once bone broth cools... should I be separating it... eating it...or should I only drink what is under the fatty layer?
Just drink the liquid part
Thomas DeLauer Do you always remove the fat, or is that special for this 3 day fasting period? I normally use homemade bonebroth in my diet, and never removes the fat.🤔
Thomas DeLauer thanks....btw... what is the fat on top called... is it tallow?
Should I add it to meals after I finish the fast?
I started my Fast last night at 7pm. Going to try for 7 days. I will be following you, I have the Kettle & Fire, I ordered to give you some support.
Thank you!
Hey thomas, its hard here in the uk to find bone broth, its really expensive to get kettle and fire here aswell. So any tips? Or any of your followers know what i can do?? I dont have the time to make my own unfortunatlya. Any help would be great.
In for this! I went for a hike yesterday after lunch. I am already 18 hours in. Doing some yoga and now broth time!
You got this!
I'm in - I started today
Good luck! Make sure to let me know how you feel throughout!
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial Near the end of day 2 and feeling fine - this is now my longest fast.
I'm excited and ready to go! I have a ton of broth in the fridge and some in my slow cooker! I have been wanting to do this for a while, I do intermittent fasting and have gone 24, but this is a first! Thanks for the motivation!!😊 See you on the other side 😉
Good luck!
I’m in 👍
Keep me posted on your progress!
good luck bro! ...have a question/s or advice to ask: Peanut butter: "Adams" 100% Natural Peanut Butter is my weakness :) .... i definitely use only Stevia for all my coffee and tea.
Is the ACV drink okay on the bone broth fast?
Yes, just skip the coconut oil in the drink
Got started this morning. Mentally ready for it so I jumped in.
How's it going?
Can I add fresh ginger and turmeric to my broth????
I was wondering the same thing.
Shouldn’t be a problem
Try cinnamon too and a little like juice if it okay idk
And how about your green detox drink I take everyday or exogenous ketones???
Great challenge and motivation to simply be healthy(er)! Looking forward to it. Thanks again.
Thank you!
What kind of homemade broth do recommend?
Beef bone broth is best for this
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial thanks!!
I'm ready Thomas! Let's go dude!
Rock on! 🤘🏻
Can I add a little bit of pink Himalayan salt to the bone broth since I feel bone broth is not all that tasty?
Yep
That’s true , you are a professional . I just worked out did a 30 hour fast first time and was fine?! I been training on n off for bout 20 years n always was firm on big preworkout meals. Now I’m trying to get more vascular n ripped so I am gonna do more fasted training!
What's the total daily calorie intake ?
Well it’s only bone broth so I’m sure it’s going to be less than 100 calories a day.
I did beef, chicken, beef for my 3 servings of bone broth today and my calorie count was only 118 calories🤷🏽♀️
^Sounds about right
Perfect timing for this! Just had our annual holiday bash last night and then continued to snack on leftovers all day. Because of this, I fee awful 😒
Perfect time for the BB fast!
these videos will be informercials for Kettle & Fire >_>
They sponsor the videos, so they get the shout out
Plus they're good :)

They will be. This is an experiment for our benefit. They want to know too!
I can fast for days but I find myself problematic is after the fast; where my brain wants to eat everything for the next couple of days, and always ended up eating more daily calories (sometimes double). For people who has food addiction, should they do this?
That’s a tricky one. Fasting properly is always a good thing, but over eating isn’t necessarily great. Maybe just try IFing instead of multi day fasts
Cindy Hsu
Since you’re already in ketosis after a fast, try eating very low carb, moderate protein the first couple days and get your calories from fat.
Let's see how this goes tomorrow because I feel GREAT now
Keep it going!
How much bone broth shall me consume whenever we drink it?
If I remember correctly from the video, breakfast and lunch 8 ounces, dinner 12 ounces. Drink water, keep taking water soluble vitamins, and if you get foggy, 1-2 tsp coconut oil, no more than that.
First serving 8 oz. (Post workout)
Second serving 8 oz. (Lunch)
Third serving 12 oz. (Dinner)
Jeanna and Steve are correct
Awesome! Thanks for sharing Thomas!
Thanks for watching!
my 21 hours done, just got my 16 oz of bone broth feels like my normal 20/4 IF day
Pretty much
Got my workout in and bows it’s thirty minutes later and I’m drinking my bone broth. So yummy! Even got my Brother to do this with me. Gotta thank you for getting all of us involved in on this! Thought you were starting it today but I’ll get a head start. 😉
Good luck!
Thomas DeLauer Not gonna lie this had not been the most enjoyable day. Currently on the second day and uhhhhh. But I’ll remain strong.
I’m excited LETS DO THIS !!!!
I had to subscribe . 😀
You should run another poll to see how many people are actually in on the fast now that it has started; when you posted it last week I needed to think about it 🤔 ... But I'm in now and so glad you're getting everyone motivated 👍👍👍
That's a good idea!
Today is day 1 for me. Im using an Oryx bone broth that was made by a friend. Totally grass fed and natural! Super excited to see how it goes.
Keep us posted!
Started today! Seriously am surprised how satisfying just the bone broth is!
Good morning Thomas, I’m kind of late but starting the bone broth fast this morning! Wish me luck :)
I'm with you. I ordered my K&F beef bone broth last week to get ready. I tried it and was surprised at how bland and "thin" it tasted, so for this fast I will be adding salt and turmeric just for flavor.
Run it
Count me in. Look forward to this week! Thanks.
Keep me posted!
waiting on my order from Kettle and Fire but I am hoping to start Wednesday!
I want to hear about it!
Berries in very small amounts are ok
I started a 3-day broth/water fast today, I often do broth/water fasting to give the body a chance to rest and clean out.
Awesome!

I waited for you. I just drank my bulletproof coffee after having reseen your original post saying you would start the WEEK of dec 16. Since there were no updates, I figured I was a day early, and you would start tomorrow, Monday. But here you are, too late for me in spite of the fact that I was prepared and ready at 7:30 am when I drank the bulletproof with collagen ...
disappointed....
Oh! I just listened to the whole thing. Ok! Sorry! I’m ready for tomorrow!
Sublime I did post an update in the community tab. I’m sorry that it messed up your scheduling, but don’t worry you’re still 100% good to go! I’m
Sorry about that!
Thanks Thomas. What is a ‘community tab’? And, I’m excited about tomorrow!
This works for me, after today I'm off for 5 so I'll be fasting with you TD
I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience!
I'm in. Started today. Good luck everyone

Great idea!
How many ounces, pints, quarts, liters of Bone Broth can we consume each 24-hour period??
Yesterday was my day one & I feel incredible my #s were so good! Onto day 2 today. I honestly think I can go 4 or 5 days.

I’m in! Let’s do this. I think they have kettle and fire at the Whole Foods West Hollywood
Rock on!
I started Friday at 4pm.
Filtered water, ACV, pink salt, potassium, and magnesium.
40 hours strong!
How do you feel?
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial - feel great overall.
hunger comes and goes, but manageable.
it's taken some practice to get to this level. i do my weight training fasted too.
keeping my electrolytes up have been key, thanks to your videos and Dr. Berg's as well.
first few attempts without electrolytes, i experienced dizziness and fatigue.
i typically do a 21/3 - fast/eating (keto) routine daily. occasionally, fold in an extended fast.
thanks again for all the great info Thomas!
I am in! Thanks for this challange!
I wanna hear about your progress!
Two questions-
Q1. If we are practising intermittent fasting and ketogenic diet together, can we break our fast with a high fat diet?
Q2. Can we consume cinnamon with whey isolate for insulin resistivity on a ketogenic diet?
1). I prefer to break my fast with a lean protein
2). I try to avoid whey because it’s so insulinogenic. Try pea protein!
