They really need to tighten up the buckshot spread in this game. At 25 meters buckshot should only spread about 10 inches. This game makes it more like 10 feet of spread at 25 meters.

The new 10g spread is pretty tight. Reminds me of the full choke on 12g that I use for deer irl

Wish they implemented a choke system for shotguns like in real life. I know the zeroing kinda mimics that, but it would be great to be able to customize the spread further by swapping chokes.

Challenge: "3:10 to Rancho" Cowboy Gun Game on Rancho Del Arroyo
Weapon 1: Miller Model 1891 10 GA Birdshot HARVEST 2 OF ANY TO PASS
(Antelope Jackrabbit, Rio Grande Turkey, Ring Necked Pheasant)
Weapon 2: Coachmate Lever .45-70
(Bighorn Sheep, Collard Peccary, Pronghorn, Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer)
Weapon 3: Whitlock Model 86 .30-30
(Coyote, Mexican Bobcat, Bighorn Sheep, Collard Peccary, Pronghorn, Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer)
Weapon 4: .45 Rolleston
(Coyote, Mexican Bobcat, Bighorn Sheep, Collard Peccary, Pronghorn, Whitetail Deer)
RULES:
For each weapon, you must harvest one of the listed animals in parentheses and pass ALL harvest checks in order to complete the challenge. The Miller Model 1891 10 GA REQUIRES 2 HARVESTS TO COMPLETE! The weapons can be used in any order.
If you've already used a species to complete one of the weapons, you can't use that same species to complete future weapons
Iron sights ONLY. TRU-VISION iron sights are still allowed.
Must use the default binoculars. All range finding tools are NOT allowed.
NO callers or scent sprays. This includes scent eliminator!
No drink zone hunting!
To start, set time to 12:00 (High Noon). No time changes allowed after this.
Challenge ends when all weapons are completed or at 15:10 (3:10 in the afternoon). Not completing all weapons before 15:10 will result in a challenge failure.
OPTIONAL RULES FOR AN EXTRA CHALLENGE:
Try sticking to unexplored areas of the map.
Limit mini map and hunter mate usage.
ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES
"Gunslinger" - Finish the challenge with 100% accuracy.
"Dead Eye" - Turn off the spotting outline
"Old Fashioned" - No truvision iron sights used
"Quick Draw!" - Get a hipshot kill with the .45 Rolleston
"Yee Haw" - Talk like your favorite famous western actor/character throughout the entirety of the challenge. For example: Arthur Morgan, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Sherrif Woody, Buster Scruggs, Doc Holiday, etc...
"I'm a Coyboy, Baby" - Complete the challenge while earning all of the achievements/trophies listed above within that playthrough.

Buckshot is so terrible it makes no sense. Speaking on personal experience I have seen what buckshot will do to a feral pig 40-50 yards away and this game acts like buck shot can’t penetrate at 10 yards.
