Thanks bro! Glad someone enjoys watching those parts! I try to show everything I do because there are people that know and people that don’t know and want to catch. Thanks for the comment 👊🏽
Thanks again! I thought I was gonna be the only one fishing in the rain but as it was pouring like crazy the park started to get filled up with people fishing. Hopefully this Thursday got another video to share. 🔥
Yes since I can’t always drive down to Port A all the time this is the closest I can get to catching a redfish! 15 min drive from the house! Thanks for checking it out.
@@Fishin4Trophies thank you so much. Amateur fisher and your setup looks legit and definitely shows you have great experience. I’m a local here in San Antonio and enjoy your content great videos ! Keep up the good work!
@@amiremamian2717 Yes you do have to reserve the tables that have cover. But you don’t need a table to catch fish. You can fish anywhere there is a spot open. Just bring some kind of shade.
@@Fishin4Trophies Great! Also I read in another comment you said that you get snagged if you use a double t-rig, but if I fish to the right of the lake (near table 8) would this still be a problem?
@@amiremamian2717 if you fish with a double leader , your chances of getting snagged are pretty high there. If you can’t cast far, then you should be fine. If you can casts pretty far, then try a T knot/ single hook leader.
I can never catch tilapia for bait. I always catch shad. But I lost 2 big reds this past Sunday and Monday but that was on shad. Oh yeah the was cold 🥶
I’ve noticed when it’s cold you’re mostly going to catch shad and a couple of Sunperch . As it starts warming up, the bank should be loaded with a Tilapia early in the morning.
Ksat news channel has a post about it you can see it and one of the gators published May 6th 2021. I go all the time and have yet to see one in person but they there.
@@DrJayRL I doubt you’re doing anything wrong you are probably fishing with the baits everyone else is using. My guess would be you are not getting the bait deep enough. If you throw from the bank at certain spots the water is pretty shallow for a long ways. When I first started fishing Calaveras I had the same issue. I say it’s your mission to keep going and keep trying. I don’t always get lucky from the bank and that makes me go back to try again.

Yeah I was told at the office where you pay to get in there’s like 7 gators in the lake. But that was last year might be more now idk 🤷🏽♂️
