I always check out your site when looking for how to instruction ! I did make me some clamps and I'll have to agree, they are much easier to use than band clamps. I always tighten the band clamps to tight and ruin them. Thanks for creating these videos.

Well done tutorial Earl. I am of course wondering why you did not just make two half rings and then cut them rectangular to make the ring. I'm sure you had a good reason for this, but can you please explain why you preferred to cut them the way you did?

Did you cut the segments free hand on the band saw?

I get the best results cutting them that way, Its what works for me.
