Under our Father's wings is the best place to be! I love this chapter - when I was younger, I always looked at the book of Ruth as "the love story of Ruth and Boaz", which is beautiful indeed, but as I read it as an adult, I see it as the "love story of God and His children". How wonderful and awesome is our God, ordering even the smallest steps of our lives. I pray for the continual heart of Ruth to love the Mara in my life with a Christ-like love and walk in faith until restoration. How can this book be only 4 chapters - there is SO much of God in here!
Danielle, yes! We always hear of this book as the love story of Ruth and Boaz, but I see so much of GOD and His heart and love for us. "....ordering even the smallest steps of our lives..." It's just amazing to see, through this story. And yes, how can it only be 4 chapters?? It's SO rich and leaves you wanting more...but I guess that's why we have the rest of the Bible....ha! Such a special, special book. And as always, love your insights. Blessings, sis!

Aunty Kim. Wow, the way you broke this down. You make connections in Bible stories that I can only make in my own life but have such difficulty explaining. Tracing God, especially for other people, is an artform and I LOVE to get lost in the amazingness of the details that no one else finds significant! That you do this SO well is a true gift from God! I am sitting at my desk at work screaming internally. Like, how you noticed that Boaz's kindness was building faith back into Ruth despite Naomi's spiritual state at the time and how Boaz's actions is actually the heart of God.... AUNTY KIM'!!!! I could cry. Thank you for pointing out these little connections. God's love is SOOOOOO good.
"Tracing God, especially for other people, is an art form".... I had to read that twice (and actually, your entire comment) because I'd never heard it put this way before. But as I think about it, that's what I do as I study the Bible. I love tracing God and how He's showing up even when it's not specifically stated yet it HAS to be Him. I love seeing His hand! And I know it's God that's helping me see it. So thank you so much for that encouragement. God's love IS sooooo good!

I thank you for this video, and I also thank you for pointing out not to just focus on a husband. The words Provider, Shelter, Safety, Well of living water came to mind while reading and listening to this video. All the things my Father is and how I'm so thankful and grateful for all He is to me, THANK YOU JESUS and thank you Kim for being a willing vessel. Your videos keep me in the word after Sunday, during the week. May God continue to use you and keep you and may you continue to be a willing vessel used by God

I like how you brought out how many of us are looking for our Boaz (still single myself). I also like how you talk about how we should want this in us. That's exactly what I have decided for my life: to cling to God so His qualities can shine through me. When people ask me what I want in a man, I cringe because all I want is a man who clings to God. He can have all the "qualities" I am looking for BUT if he is not clinging to God (as Boaz did), then all those "qualities" are useless. Thank you so much sister Kim for this CLING series. It has been SUCH A BLESSING in this season of my life.
Oh, Dorothea, I LOVE THIS--> "all I want is a man who clings to God." YES, YES & AMEN. I actually talk about this at the end of the Ch. 3 video (which is uploading right now). You are so right. He can be *everything* in a worldly sense, but if he's not clinging to God.... That's THE MAIN THING. Praying God's richest blessings upon you, sis. May He show up strong in your life continually as you cling to Him.

I love the way God uses Boaz to serve as a hedge of protection to Ruth. I see that God rewards those who are truly faithful.. even giving more than what we expected. I see that Naomi's faith is reignited...yes, God is kind!!....Come on Naomi God is going to show you he is there at your side.... God is surely speaking to me right now....Thank you my loving father! I cannot wait till Chapter 3!!
YES, Norma, God is speaking to me as well through this book! I love how we see so much of Him and His heart. He truly does reward those who are faithful. Our God is an awesome God!

We always seem to attribute kindness and a good heart to man when that would not be the case had it not been for the Lord. John says something about our actions that glorify God bearing much fruit, we need Him to do that it is not we ourselves.
Laverne, YES. We need HIM to do that. The bible says there is NO good in us apart from God. The Lord be praised! His light shines so brightly through Boaz.

The Lord richly bless you,you reach to my heart God bless you on my behalf, I need the heart of God in my husband, I lowered the standard having been born again and gotten married to a believer but no personal relationship with God, its not easy his focus is on other things of this world,comfort is OK but God should come first,God is faithful am confident I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living ,praise be to God,our merciful Father!
