I agree with thebones, there needs to be secure zones, these carp are getting hammered, they need a safe area, but other than that a very good vid, and some excellent carp, look forward to the other vids, thank you.

Should close lakes for a couple of months....or just alternate what lake are closed or open at any time....
    And def no fishing areas

25 anglers a day, three rods each, 365 days a year, it's too much, restrict anglers to one rod on pressurised waters, have no fishing sections (secure zones) and/or have a close season. Carp anglers are always talking of fish care, this sort of angling pressure doesn't support their values, I fish for carp too but the carp must have 'secure zones' and less lines in the water.

thebones In my opinion your right but you know aswell as i do that the care of the fish gives way to profit. The proof of that is evident in what Fairbrass said, if the owners weren't so bothered about their profits then they would ease the fishing preasure.Adearing to closed season would help.

The sad thing is a lot of anglers would welcome the better treatment of the fish, even if they had to use two rods, or god forbid one :-) they would enjoy the results in seeing how the fish benefited.

the problem is , how to run a fishery with reduced revenues?

    • @christopherfong5665

I expect that a fishery such as Linear is well into profit by now so a stricter policy may affect revenue but money isn't everything and if measure are not took to care for the carp in the first place then the fishing suffers leading to a serious reduction in revenue.Prevention is better than cure! Far be it for myself to know anything about running a fishery it does stand to reason that you would want to guard the revenue stream and if that means easing the angling preasure then that's what i would do,but that's just me.
