- Clearing the first small portion of the future vineyard area with the Blue Diamond 42" Heavy Duty mini excavator/track hoe brush cutter. This thing is a beast!

Seems a rotary cutter on a tractor would be 10x more effecient but you are using what you have and for that sir you did a fantastic job!
AWESOME ! GREAT WAY TO BE SAFE /COOL AND LISTEN TO SOME TUNES .
Great video and review, thanks !
Thanks for watching!
Great video. 👍 I'm work on developing an estate and also working on clearing land for pasture and builds. Keep it up.
I HAVE A BRUSH CUTTER ON MY MINI SKID FORM QUICK ATTACH AND IT IS AWESOME !
I like your plan on the hooch, but was wondering if cutting the brush wouldn’t have been easier and faster with a tractor and brush hog?
It definitely would, and I have done some mowing with my tractor and 3-point hitch bush hog, but I have better visibility with the excavator and it stays in the mowed areas - only the mower ventures into unmowed territory. I don't yet know all the hazards hidden in the weeds on the property and with the tractor I hit stumps and rocks and drove into soft, muddy spots...
I also mention this in the video coming out today.
BTW, great job with your channel!
@@HillsteadCellars Ahh, I see. That makes sense. I do envy you some and that excavator. I'm looking to get a e35 next year. Have a lot to do around the property and I want to try to earn a little extra cash with it. And your too kind about the channel. I don't give it the time I should yet, but next year I retire and will focus more on it. God bless and best wishes.
@@PawPaws_Place The e35 would be a great choice - I think it's light enough that you could trailer it using a standard 2" ball hitch, though you might need a heavy duty receiver and a fixed-height ball mount... Contrats in advance for your pending retirement!
Just purchased one for my Kubota KX 161-3 (42") also....been looking at all different brands and types especially the Fecon... but just can't justify that $25,000.
Thanks for the info and good luck with you're vineyard
how much did you pay for this attachment?42''
Nice! Good progress!
Good Job! Good Video
Pretty cool equipment. Pretty cool vision! I'd like to visit when your grapes are ready.
Thank you! Give me a couple years...establishing a vineyard is a long process!
How much was the brush cutter?
Hello my name is Jacob i also live in the blue ridge mountains near Asheville nc we have some great wineries around here just wondering where abouts you are in nc
Bel lavoro e ottimo atrezzo 👍💪💯
Any helpful hints you can share on mowing technique?
Two that jump to mind: run the excavator at max RPM since the same hydraulic pump that powers the cutter also runs all the other hydraulics on the excavator. And go slow - at least one fencepost would be a good four inches taller right now if I had been consistently slower and more deliberate in my operation of the system!
Looks nice. Clean cut for a brush style mower. Did you consider the MTL and RUT MFG mowers when deciding on a mower? What lead you to spending extra on the Blue Diamond? A friend of mine has a Blue Diamond on his Skid Steer and absolutely swears by it. Very well made.
@PVL_VT Pleasant Valley Landshaping LLC I looked at the Rut when I was thinking in terms of the initial clearing of the property, but I have a lot of steep hillsides and stream banks, so I figured I should think more long-term and go with a heavier-duty unit. I have no experience with MTL and it looks like a good machine, but some of the reviews and forums had me concerned about quality and customer service. For a smaller excavator, MTL might be a better option as the mounting plate is more centered on the mower - on the Blue Diamond, it's at the edge, putting its center of mass further away from the cab possibly making it more tippy.
***Note - I had to edit this as I had Rut and MTL confused with each other in my original response.
Rpm of the Knifeplate?
Speed ×4 ?
Can’t see how to engage the cutter?
What is the name of this music 😀👍
would it work with E32 mini excavtor?
You might want to consider the 36" cutter if you'll be working on hillsides/slopes. Here's a chart from Blue Diamond:

What I was considering. What was price you bought your mower?
@@roblaw3500 $8600, including the Bobcat mount. That was 6 months ago. Unfortunately, I think they've gone up since then.
Any snakes in there ?
