    Double-post for the engagement
    Perch was also recently talking about the constant spine / cover design changes, even in the middle of series, and how it serves to even further confuse the casual / new / coming-over-from-manga reader. It's even worse when the spine design of volume 1 is the best out of all three!
    By contrast, the likes of Shonen Jump, the various "Young" comics, and especially Princess Comics and Hana to Yume haven't changed their spine designs in decades! Princess, especially, has a standard format for every single one

      It's infuriating but expected from Marvel and DC. And yes, the first design was the best and there's no reason that it couldn't have been continued in the direct market editions. That would at least have been a 'compromise'.

      Yeah, it's cool. I'm looking forward to revisiting them. I originally read them in B&W in the UK weekly reprints. Good to have them in this format.
