this is one of the only non build a figure toybiz figure that i wouldn't blame you for liking it more than the new one it aged pretty well when it comes to proportions
I actually like how the new one looks, I do agree tho that the plastic on the new one is hit or miss but on this figure, I find that it works. Considering that he built the suit in the cave and you could say that the lines are that of welding marks or rough iron used to make it. But yeah, overall great vid
I'm rewatching this because I just got the gold retro card version and yeah prepare to be disappointed in terms of paint once again, it's not a big deal for me because I think the mold itself is great and now having it I think I'd like it better in just yellow plastic with black shading like the transformers comic universe special figures have. I definitely love the grey version more though, the scratches isn't something I wanted but I love them on him!
I dont know of its just mine but the new one on mine when i move the torso joint left and right to pose it has this crunch noise and feels like he gonna break so i dont use it
Imagine if toybiz kept the license to make marvel legends. Don't get me wrong, hasbro does a good job here and there, but I imagine toybiz would be giving us the best quality for every release.
I definitely think the proportions of the new one, while looking good as a general design, doesn’t quite look like a human body could quite fit into it the way the old figure does. Granted, the face-reveal gimmick kinda ruins that with its awful pinhead, but the actual proportions of the old Toy Biz suit, strange as they mag be, kinda do look more like a person could reasonably fit inside. Also feels a bit more faithful to the original debut comic, but that doesn’t make the new one bad by any means. Def tempted to buy one of them.

you have push on the Ironman 2006 figures mask until it clicks and it won’t be loose, it works with mine

I'm contented with the Toybiz version. 😉
Somehow I like the old Toybiz one head. It has retro smile faceplate. The new one is just too angry looking.
I was wondering if you'd do this video and I'm so happy you did, this suit is just so iconic and for me easily one of the best iron man Marvel legends
Bro became Arnold Schwarzenegger at the end
Excellent comparison video.

I passed on this style of iron man. But still have all 3 toy biz first series Iron man.

Is it a sin that i looked for the old one on ebay and bought it even though i already have the new one?
Nice vid
