    That was a nice talk you had with us today Jeffie. We are all human and some days are better than others. Really,it’s ok to get down,it’s the getting up that sometimes is tough. You are a great person and your perspective on how you are feeling makes perfect sense to me.hang in buddy,some days are good days and some days you step into it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Im so glad to hear this!!! You are 100% correct...change your behavior if you want to get out of that funk. NOT easy but look what you have done already : Out of drugs, alcohol, and 2 major amputations ! Yes, its not easy, sitting contemplating on that funk does not help. YOU are in control Jeff . Hang tough, you can do it !!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 Love Katie ! sometimes ya just gotta say it as it IS lol thats right, talk to the man in control up above !!!!!!!!!!!

    Yes Jeff, you are doing the right thing with the phone. You will feel much better. Your sleep may get better. I have a rule that I don't pick it up after I lay down to sleep. Melatonin works but, I tend to be sleepy in the AM. You are doing great Jeffie...I appreciate your honesty. Take Care...

    I'm so glad you have your daughter and grandsons close. Your a good father and Grandpa. Doug and I try to do one thing a day to get out of our daily routine. It's good to get out and about. We're looking forward to seeing you next year!

    Hang in their Jeffree Bear....I hear how your feeling.....I can't sleep sometimes till 3&4 in the morning ......so many of us have heavy hearts.. I'm 69 ... I take my sadness to the lord in prayer . ..somedays feel heavy and then some days I'm happy ...praying for you

    I’m impressed even though you are depressed, you are able to be open. You have such a good grasp of what’s going on. We all care about you, take care esp in the darker/colder months in winter.

    Hello Jeffie, it takes a lot of courage to express such deep feelings, I admire your openness and it’s okay to feel as you do.
    Just remember, even on the darkest days, you are not alone. There are people who care about you, who would listen, and who want to help if you ever need it. Sometimes, just talking to someone or finding small moments of peace in daily life can slowly help mend those wounds. Be gentle with yourself, take things one day at a time, and know that with time, there can be moments of light again. You’re stronger than you may feel, and I believe in your ability to find a path through this by holding Jesus hand 🙏🏻

    Hey Jeffie I admire your honesty with regard to depression. I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and can relate to your symptoms. Take care of you and wishing you all the best. The pharmacists at shoppers drug mart may be able to help recommend vitamins that can help you.

    Depression sucks taking about it helps. I find when we talk about it we get motivated to beat it instead of getting beaten by it.
    Happy to report my sinus infection is at it's tail end, therefore I should be making it up your way next week after Liv gets hitch lol.

    Hey Hey Jeffie Bear! It takes a heap of confidence to be open and honest with yourself about depression, but to openly discuss your struggle with depression on a platform where anyone on earth could potentially see it, is definitely a daunting task. But I'm so GLAD you decided to speak your mind about depression rather than ignoring it. Simply by talking most people can resolve it or figure out the trigger that started the depression. At least you're willing to talk about it rather than ignoring it. It shows a level of maturity that most people wish they could be as open and honest as you've been with us out here in TH-cam world. Keep talking! Happy trails and safe travels to you!

    It's good to talk out your problems. It's also good to get out in nature. Go to a local park. Drive out to the woods. Remember that how you feel each day is up to you. I'm not saying this is easy, but if you wake up every day and tell yourself, "I'm so happy! I'm going to have a wonderful day today. I'm going to do things that make me feel well." I know that's hard, because it's hard for me to do, and sometimes I tell myself that I'm full of 💩, but then that makes me laugh, and I try to get on with my day. I wish you the best in cheering up.

    Don’t beat yourself up Jeff, just one thing ata time. I am feeling a bit blue lately. My mojo has left me temporarily. It happens to me every year around this time, Christmas is the worst and for a lot of people. This too shall pass my friend, it will. 😊

    Hi Jeff. Have a look at info regarding Lion's Mane mushroom extract (double extract seems to be the best). If you can get it and try it... it might help. Cognition, nerve repair... mood..etc.
    I've just started using it (a liquid extract) and... if it's not just the "placebo" effect (& I don't think it is) it IS helping... me. It is all natural, they use both water and some alcohol to 'extract' the natural compounds from the mushroom. You add it to your coffee, tea, or whatever (hot) to reactivate the compounds, and it goes to work. You can get liquid or powdered extracts... bot seem as good as each other. As long as they are the "dual/double" extract (both water and alcohol extraction) there's no alcohol in the finished product by the way.
    Otherwise B-12 & B-6 are good vitamins to take: as is D-3. I'm on both B-12 and D-3 (as I had lower than optimal levels of Vit D). Anyway I reckon you'll get through this, You have been through worse and come through it well. Take care, mate.

    Depression is an awful thing. My wife ended our marriage of 30 years over 11 years ago and I honestly have never gotten over it. I feel for you.

    Hi Jeffie , low vitamin D, I hear can cause depression… I’m on 4000 iu a day for years, dr checked back in 2003, after a cancer bout, took almost a year to bring it up were it’s supposed to be.. unfortunately it cost about 80.00 for a blood test, but good to know…

    Hey Jeffie, glad you're there, we are here waiting and will be here when you are ready every time. No rush just sort yourself first. Don't forget you pushed you to get back on the road and had a wonderful summer traveling, which we all enjoyed watching . Time to start slowing down f0r the Bears winter hibernation. We all get older and have to learn new coping skills. This old girl ( 73 ) is talking from experience😆

    great canadian oil change i found had great service in ottawa /// i would say get out more leave the vab at home and before the snow flies take the chair to timmys get that fresh air and out of the van good material content you have gotten away from it will help //or go over to the mall or sports arena and just " people watch " it will bring another depth to getting out and about

    Jeffie ..Discuss your depression with doctor, he/she may be able to subscribe meds to ease the symptoms. I am taking Sertraline (Zoloft) it took a few days to get in my system, and it has helped me a lot. Hang in there - you are loved ❤

    I suffer from seasonal depression. This year, the start is rough. I was born this way and 53 years later I still dont know what to do with it. At least, i identified the problem, so I was able to get help, talk about it, be “prepared” (kindda). Still hurts. I dont know if the psychologist helps, but I go anyway, just in case it helps a little bit. I take Vitamin D, just in case it helps a little bit, last year I went to tanning booth (definitively helped but I am scared of cataract and cancer) so I dont know if I ll go back. I also use mood light, in case it helps… Like you, I try to avoid medication, I dont want any medication that change my self-Me. I am a social bug but it is difficult to be in that condition, so it hurts even worst. I know it is temporary, October to December are the worst, I know I ll get better in April-ish. So I just follow the track, not falling behind. Life is great and I know it. JUST STRONG. STAY STRONG.

    Could I share with you, Barbara O'Neill she has helped me, I found out I have gut problems, like I can't eat bread, products, like bagels, etc. It not only affects my gut but gut affects the mind. God Bless you!!! ❤️

    Jeffie, if your body is depleted of certain vitamins, it can make such a difference if you are an anxiety, depressive person. If you haven't had a Complete, thorough blood work done in recent tmes, I hope that you can ask your Dr to get one sorted for you. I've had to go onto high potency B12 injections or tabs. Not too long ago I started on Vit D. You might be surprised at just what your body might be low on. So important to our overall health, but most especially our mental health.       Yes, I agree..I’ve been low with potassium and Vitamin D which affected my mood and overall well-being.
