What made Peter one of my favorite singers (and, eventually one of three bass players that also inspired me to learn to play bass...McCartney and Tina Weymouth are the others) is his distinctive and beautiful, smooth tenor. And his delivery seems so effortless. I didn’t realize it at the time back when I was 5yrs old and my mom either had the radio going or her playing Chicago’s 45’s of “Just You ‘N Me” and she would later in my life while playing gigs and singing “Just You’N Me” that I would scream out the lyrics trying to sing along with the record (she also said the lyrics I sang were jacked up lyrics 😂) But, I do remember driving my dad nuts spinning “Old Days” so many times because by this time I was obsessed with the sweet beautiful art of tenor/falsetto singing. Even though all I thought was it is just men trying to sing high notes and trying to sound like a a lady singing high. And, boy....another one that I spun so often on my sister’s little phonograph I thought my dad was going to disown me, but the amazing harmonies were crazy smooth between Al, Dennis and Carl Wilson
Peter Cetera is one of the greatest singers of all time...I’m so in love with all his ballads...that says so much about LOVE...he is my favorite since I was in Highschool till now in my 40’s....his songs touch my heart and my life❤️

after having two surgeries at his throat he still has a better voice than most of the successfull artists nowadays..and he is a music giant,he does not need to proof anything anymore..i still like his voice.
He isnt as good as Arnel who was singing his song with David Foster. Peter Cetera was much better when he was younger, he can't sustain long notes now. When and why did he have two throat surgeries, lost his voice?
@@TruthHurts58 I think that there is confusion. Steve Perry might have gotten throat surgeries. Peter Cetera's jaw was broken in the early 70s, which did not affect his voice. He just had to adjust the movement of his mouth. He mentioned it in a few interviews that you can find here on YT.

loved him w/ Chicago. But they always come off as cold and unaccepting of him. Talk about bullies. You should hear and see, the horn guys especially, mocking and taunting PC on-stage. And when not bullying, they ignored him like he didn't exist. Don't think he was ever really happy in the band.

Danny did go on to record the California Transit Authority and it sounds great , but still one more shot at them being together would great before it's too late.
They're still good. They'll always be good. I'll always be a Chicago fan. I played trombone in high school and played a lot of their music with a local band. Blood Sweat and Tears was great also but Chicago was the best and always will be. :-).
