    1. because the firms' sales are falling as the current location of the business is inconvenient for the customers
    2. because the location isn't convenient for the owners as they want a workplace closure to their house.
3.because the owner wants the location to be closure to the factory
    4. because the current location isn't crowdy enough and doesn't consist of a large number of targeted consumers
5.because there are too many competitors in the area and a local monopoly is already formed in the area that is why the business would like to relocate.

    Seek new customers.
Closer to the Market to reduce transportation cost .
Obtain subsidy from govt. By setting up in rural area and creating employment there.
    Weather and environmental factors.
shifting in a area where most of its industries are located to benifit external economies of scale.

    1. To get close to where competition is minimized.
    2. To start a good relation with the customers in the area so that the business expands.
    3. Closeness to raw materials
    4. Getting close to where labour is cheap.
    5. To get close to the market.

    1. Near customers which would increase sales and profit.
    2. Near competitions and other similar firms which would help receive external economics of scale like trained workers and make conducting market research easier.
    3. Better infrastructure like roads which would help in transportation of resources and products.
    4. Higher unemployment which would give the business cheaper labour.
    5. Lower cost of premises which would decrease cost and increase profits.

Could one of the reasons why a business may choose to relocate be that it wants to be close to the supplier or retailer in order to reduce transportation costs?

    Answer to 1:41
    1. The availability of trendy food outlets mean that there is a steady stream of potential customers coining in.
    2. Being close to a residential area means that people can visit close by. Also means that delivery services are easy which can satisfy customers. Makes recruitment easy.
    3. Long drive away from the rest of the city means that not much competition nearby so the sales are better.
    4. Bus stops in close proximity’s means potential to get customers who are in a rush.
    5. Large open roads mean that getting in supplies from distant suppliers is not too difficult.
Hope it’s a good answer. Thanks for the video.

    1. The business may want more customers which will increase sales, so they might be located in a popular area.
    2. To reduce the transportation cost by locating close to their suppliers...so the business can have access to fresh produce in its best possible conditions.
    3. The business might want to locate near reliable power sources, for example electricity.
    4. If the business is operating in the manufacturing sector (factory) , then it would need to locate where labour cost are low and where highly skilled labour is available in order to reduce their training cost.
    5. The business might want to locate where competition is low so the profits they generate will not be limited.
Can you please check my answer?
I have a test next week

  • @devanshiraut

Does it also include income, like if my area has more income then the business is more likely to come and sell in my area, so is it right?

    • @devanshiraut
      @devanshiraut 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

and also the age of the population, if the business sells more products that for the old people, like if the business is well know for selling anti-aging cream, it will probably open in a country with higher aging population. i'm not sure if i'm correct

    • @alizaywaqar2275
      @alizaywaqar2275 4 ปีที่แล้ว

If the income and wages are high in your area, the business might not locate there as they'll have to pay higher wages to their workers which would increase their costs. That's what I think.

    5 reasons:
1- it had bad sales before because it was in an unknown/unpopular area
2- there are more customers in the area they chose to relocate in
3- people visit that street more often than the area they were in
4- the items the business needs are closer to them now (for e.g a coffee shop located near a supermarket so if they ran out of milk or coffee beans they can get from the supermarket and not keep the customers waiting for a while since the supermarket is really near)
5- they can compete with same brand businesses near them by increasing their discount days more often so customers will buy more and more
*i hope i got all of them correct* hahahaha
