    Like the vids, very inspirational. I’m thinking I’ll use rocks tied with cotton string. I don’t like wasting money on lead…

    Wassup Youngin-yup bruh even in Kaua’i gonna get days like that huh? 😂-at least score a catch n release papio. I like how u show your whole process when casting out-it helps out Bruddahs like me who just starting to slide stuffs.🤙🏽-also with the honu thing-funny cuz I just put out a vid with fishcam footage of a honu snatching my tako leg and booking it! 😵‍💫…I told everybody was gonna happen! 😖-Anyways keep doing what u doing-and if u do a giveaway throw your Penn senator up for grabs and put me on da list 😂-take care and Aloha 🤙🏽🤙🏽🎣🎣

      you could use a bubble float or reel a bit faster with the lead

    So you use all monofilament, no braid? Also how far you cast that senator 4/0 with monofilament?

    • @justfishhawaii923
      @justfishhawaii923  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So in hawaii we use braid as a backing then finish it with 60# mono. the mono is more suitable for big conventional reels and makes it easier for sliding. People have been casting over 100+ yards with conventional reels with mono. But i can only go 80 😂

      @@justfishhawaii923one time I bird nest both my poles on the first cast all pissed off I didn’t recast the second pole after fixing the nest. 15 mins later my bell goes off and the pole bends over nice little run, fight um and reel um in from all of 25 yards 17# Kagami 😂😂😂 my brother all sick 😂😂😂

    why don't you use braid?

    • @justfishhawaii923
      @justfishhawaii923  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You should look up ulua fishing. Mono is just more convenient

    • @fishwomanyvr
      @fishwomanyvr 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did look up; braid is stronger and you can fit more on the reel; mono backing is ok but the bulk of the line is braid i see online...@@justfishhawaii923

    • @justfishhawaii923
      @justfishhawaii923  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We use braided backing instead, Mono is tied to 200+ rub line and helps with slide baiting.

    • @fishwomanyvr
      @fishwomanyvr 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      bait won't slid on braid? you've tried it and it failed? @@justfishhawaii923

    • @justfishhawaii923
      @justfishhawaii923  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Casting with braid is just not convenient, if something goes wrong and you end up birds nesting have fun taking out a bunch of strands of braid, in Hawaii nobody slides with braid. Braid can also burn your finger harder than mono
