patty1977 Kim shot the gun twice (see 1537+1538). One bullet went in Michael's shoulder, the other missed and went into the wall. Kim was facing the bar when she shot Michael. Sal was also facing the bar when he shot Michael, who he first helped up to sit on the bar stool. Sal's bullet went through Michael's back and into the bar. The cops thought Rae shot Michael once in the shoulder AND once through the back because they initially only found her bullet in Michael's shoulder and a bullet from Rae's gun in the wall. It wasn't until Frank found Sal's bullet lodged in the bar and found tissue residue on it that they realized Sal had shot Michael through the back. I guess that since the cops knew Sal got to the Houseboat after Kim and Rae had left, Michael must still have been alive for Sal to have fired from his own gun, the 25 caliber.
